This model is a little more ergonomic so my 8 year old can play along with his big bro (and lets be honest, this is also a favorite of my husband's). Comments about Spy Net Night Vision Infrared Stealth Binoculars, Ages 8+: The key to having these work well for anyone is to get an IR filter for your flashlight(IR filters won't work for LCD flashlights so use an incandescent flashlight), they cost $15 for my Surefire G2. With the filter on your flashlight, flashlight turned on, goggles turned on point it at anything outside in the dark. Your goggles can see perfectly in the dark wherever the light is pointed within reason.

Comments about Spy Net Night Vision Infrared Stealth Binoculars, Ages 8+: It is a plastic toy, but the product does work well with the infrared illuminators supplied. You can see much further if you have an xtra illuminator. I used an old survelince camera for the xtra illumination and can see about 150 ft with it in pitch darkness. About 60 to 70 ft without. You need to handle it gently due to the plastic construction, but other than that it works perfectly. For the price, it's a great deal! This is not "Just For Kids". Service and delivery comments: Delivery was fast and arrived in good condition.

Comments about Spy Net Night Vision Infrared Stealth Binoculars, Ages 8+: Keep in mind this is a toy. The focus is the worst part about this thing other than that it's great. I turned it on in pitch black and it light up. The screen is only about an inch wide so you only see about an inch at a time, that means if you were to walk around using this you would probably run into something. I use it just to see specific things better at night like when the dogs bark and so on. This is not military grade and is only about 40 bucks. It's good for the price.
