Pads: For the treatment and management of acne. Reduces the number of acne pimples and blackheads and allows the skin to heal. Helps to prevent new acne pimples form forming.
Gel: For the treatment of acne. Penetrates pores to eliminate most acne blemishes.

If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor. Do not use this medication if: you have very sensitive skin or if you are sensitive to benzoyl peroxide. This product may cause irritation, characterized by redness, burning, itching, peeling, or possibly swelling. Mild irritation may be reduced by using the product less frequently or in lower concentration. If irritation becomes severe, discontinue use; if irritation continues, consult a doctor. Keep away from eyes, lips and mouth. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away. This product may bleach hair or dyed fabrics.

This is a great product. I use it everyday when removing my make up and the pads are already moist so you don't have to run to a sink to treat your face. Once your face is clean, just open the top part and you have the medication to use on blemishes. I never really had bad acne but once in a while a blemish would pop up. i have had a problem with blackheads and since I've been using this product, my face is so much smoother. If you have severe acne I'm not to sure if this is the product for you but for people who have the once in a while pimple, it's great!

Stridex Dual Solutions is a convenient combination of salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide into one treatment, you simply wipe the pad across your face to remove dirt, and use the gel as a spot-treatment. This is nice, but ineffective for me because the gel dries out the pimple to the point of turning the blemish purple, this causes it to produce more oil and further clog the commode, also the lack of natural skin oils will slow down the skin's natural healing process and leave dark pigments. However I like the pads, they contain 2% salicylic acid, this unclogs your skin's pores. They feel very refreshing/cooling to touch and can be used to wipe off excess dirt and oils. They are the same pads featured in Stridex "maximum" Jars. Overall 3/5

I was told by our vet that this was a good treatment for kitty acne. The only formula that works is this one and you DO NOT use the cream that comes with it - just use the pads.
I am almost 52 years old and I have used this product twice a day since it was introduced without any dryness or irritation . I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because I always run out of the "step two" (benzoyl peroxide cream) about half-way through the "step one" salicylic acid pads. I then supplement with Neutrogena "Spot Treatment" but would rather have more of the Stridex cream or have it available for purchase individually. (Hint to Stidex)
This is a 2-in-1 product. There are salycic acid pads in the jar and benzoyl peroxide cream in the lid. If these are the products you want, buying them separately would be more cost effective and easier to use. The design of the container is gimmicky, ackward and I see no advantage to buying this product rather than a jar of pads and a tube of cream.
Very easy to use the product, makes my face feel clean and oil free, and love the benzoyl peroxide afterwards. The only downfall is that it makes your skin pretty dry around the mouth at first.
The four of us in the family ranging from teenager to adult, use this product regularly after cleansing. It works well with removing dirt and oil after cleansing the skin and the gel works great on existing pimples by shrinking them and drying them out by the next day.

i loved it! i have combination skin (my nose and forehead can get quite oily while my cheeks are normal perfectly fine) and my skin-especially my nose- tends to be really rough (not acne just bumpy) i used this once and i noticed a difference right away. It didn't dry out my skin at all i love it
Pads: Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication. Use the pad to wipe the entire affected area. Repeat with a clean pad as necessary to remove remaining traces of dirt. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase two to three times daily as needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. Do not leave pad on skin for an extended period of time. Keep away from eyes, lips and other mucous membranes.
Gel: If going outside, use a sunscreen. Allow dual solutions gel to dry, then follow directions in the sunscreen labeling. If irritation or sensitivity develops, discontinue use of both products and consult a physician. Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer one to three times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase two to three times daily as needed or as directed by a doctor.
