I wanted a retractable powder brush to take on travel, and reading the reviews, this sounded perfect. It wasn't. It does not retract to half its size. Instead, it is merely a brush with a cover.

Daily tool for me .. at work, out on the town, or travel abroad. Fits into big makeup bags or small evening bags. Carry\iess makeup smooth over your face and fits perfectly back into its case. Would reorder over and over again.

I love this brush because it is the perfect size for applying blush. Also, because it is retractable, it is perfect for travel since it doesn't take up much space. The brush is soft and sheds very little.

This brush fell apart about two weeks after I bought it. I regret that I did not return it. I even tried glueing the base back into place, but it just broke again. Overall, the quality was not good, and the slide up part did not work smoothly from the beggining. I would not recommend this brush.

I have finally found another retractable, compact powder brush. I have been wanting a 2nd Powder Brush for a long time now. I had not seen these for years - and I was so glad to find the Studio Basics Retractable Powder Brush on Drugstore.com.

So often when I find a product that I like, it seems to become a hard-to-find-item. So when I located the Studio Basics Retractable Powder Brush, I was ecstatic.

But it is longer and fatter than the Powder Brush that I currently have. I would prefer a Powder Brush to be at least as small as my current oval-shaped Powder Brush - 4 ¼" X 1" X ¾". The Studio Basics Retractable Powder Brush is 4 ¾" long, 7/8" round.

Since I have oily skin, I like to keep a powder brush with me so that I can easily refresh-and-powder my already-applied makeup.

Before going out, I apply my loose or compact face powder onto my compact Powder Brush [which fits in my purse better than carrying a compact pressed powder makeup case, for touch-ups].
I dab-off the extra powder from the Powder Brush - and then I twist-down and close the brush into the Powder Brush-Case.
The Studio Basics Retractable Powder Brush retracts - which makes it small enough to fit in a purse or even a wristlet - or even in the glove compartment - for quick face-powdering.

I did not like the non-sealed packaging of the Studio Basics Retractable Powder Brush. It came in a plastic snap-case, but it was not sealed for sanitary purposes. I have not yet used the Studio Basics Retractable Powder Brush - I am still using my current Powder Brush.

I loved the design of this brush. It's too bad that it is such poor quality and comes apart after about a month. I am going to try to glue it back together, hopefully that works.

On a good note, the bristles don't come off like other brushes out there. I can't stand the shedding of other brushes!

I carry this in my purse all the time for quick touch ups. Very good quality for the price!
