I use this for dandruff control-noticed lesser flaking n itching!add a few drops to u'r shampoo or massage twice a week-leave overnight then shampoo off! works great.

For those of you complaining about the smell, Tea Tree Oil is not supposed to smell pretty! This product smells just right for Tea Tree Oil , and is, not surprisingly, very effective. I use it for its antiseptic and antifungal properties, also good in a diffuser with OTHER, much "nicer" smelling oils, i.e., eucalyptus, lavender, etc., for congestion relief. My suggestion to those of you complaining of the smell, KNOW WHAT YOU'RE BUYING before you buy it! To others considering purchasing this product, PLEASE DISREGARD COMPLAINTS OF THIS PRODUCT SMELLING BAD - THESE FOLKS APPARENTLY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE BUYING! This is a good, solid Tea Tree Oil for the price. Buy it if you're looking for quality, effective Tea Tree Oil.

So I've been fighting Tinea Versicolor for 7 years now. The docs have given me pills and soaps, but neither have had lasting effectiveness. When the medication ran out, the spots came back in larger patches. My wife worked at a day spa, and one of the on-site docs suggested tea tree oil. While the smell is persistant and awful, it's incredibly effective. I have a tiny spray bottle I keep it in, that is enclosed in a freezer bag. I highly suggest you apply in a shower (no water running) so you can spray the shower down after, or mix the tree oil with another oil and apply by hand. I keep it on the skin for about an hour while I go for a run. I would suggest you take a long shower or a quick one then a dip in the pool. You'll probably notice a musty odor for a day or two depending on how well you scrubbed the oil off. It's certainly not a good idea to apply prior to a date. After a day, I notice an extreme difference in color, and if I repeat in about 4 days the Tinea is gone. Mine continues to come back when my job puts me out in the middle of no where with limited resources for hygiene, which is why I've become pretty experienced with my procedure above. If prescriptions effectively control your Tinea, then I would continue using them, otherwise it may be worth a few bucks to try the tea tree oil.

I purchased this product after reading so may good reviews. I have to admit that it does have a very strong smell but it woks very well. I apply it every night on problem areas only and it helps clear out my face. I have been using it for a month and I notice a significant difference. I apply it about an hour before going to bed so I give it enough time for the scent to go away. I put night cream on once it dries. If you put it on right before bed the smell will get on your pillows. in about 20 minutes you can't smell it any longer. It does not make my skin flake off as with more expensive products.

This has such a nasty smell that I had to toss the whole bottle. I tried twice, but the fragrance is so overpowering and awful that it made me nauseous. I can't imagine anyone using this product for anything. It smells that bad.

This smells so vile, that I could not even use it. A little got on my hands, and the scent lingerered all day. In the garbage this went. Yes, that bad.

As a first time user, I was enhusiastic to try Tea Tree Oil and its many uses. Immediately upon opening the bottle I noticed a strong, pungent odor. I put some on a cotton swab to clean/disinfect a makeup brush. The semll was unbearable, After repeated washings, the scent lingers on the brush. I can't bear this awful stench. I'm tossing this one in the garbage.

I have been to dermatologists in the past for breakouts. It was very frustrating because I didn't like to take medication for my skin and it seemed the topical creams never really worked. And then I found Tea Tree Oil. I am so impressed. I haven't been back to the dermatologist in 6 months. I use a cotton ball and put the Tea Tree Oil as well as Witch Hazel on it and spread all over my neck and face. It does burn a little...but you get used to it. I then put my lotion on. After that, I dab a little more Tea Tree Oil on my finger and put on any problem areas.

Ick. I switched to this brand of tea tree oil from Desert Essence because it was cheaper, but the smell is SUPER strong and really disgusting. AND it does not work as well as a natural "toner". I was very disappointed. :(
