I use this product on ulcers on my tongue. Applied with a Q-tip, it readily stops the pain and heals overnite well enough that the ulcer no longer bothers me. Another application or 2 and it's gone! It really has no flavor; is a little messy, but the Q-tip eliminates that. The most important factor is IT STOPS THE PAIN.

This product really works. I used the lip balm (super lysine + coldstick). It goes on thick and keeps your lips moist. Its also good to put on just when you start to feel some tingling or when your lips are very dry. I also applied Olive leaf oil (which helped heal the cold sore fast).

I have used this stuff for years and swear by it. Unfortunately, I am prone to cold sores. When I feel the "tingling" of one coming on, I massage some of this product into the affected area, often followed by a little Abreva. That 2-part treatment almost ALWAYS stops the sore from blistering, although the area may still feel a little tender for a day or two. I have tried everything, including prescriptions, and this plus Abreva is 90%+ effective for me.

My 6 year old daughter has suffered from cold sores for years, but they got worse after she started school. Any sort of chill, lack of sleep, any sort of stress - obvious or not - would bring on a cold sore in the same spot.

I'm so glad I found this product for her. If she applies it when she just starts to feel one develop, often this ointment will completely prevent the cold sore from coming out at all. If we don't catch it early, this product still reduces the severity and speeds healing time very, very significantly.

You should be aware this product also comes in a tube that contains 3 times as much. 21 grams (.75 oz) instead of 7g (.25 oz).

I have used several different cold sore treatments (Abreva, Releeve, etc.) and this one is my favorite. I used Releeve once and it didn't help me at all. I used Abreva for a while and it worked fine, but it's more expensive. SuperLysine heals cold sores fast and is not as visible as Abreva (white). It's a little shiny so it looks like I have a lip gloss. I apply it to my cold sore several times a day. I also use Super Lysine ColdStick every day to prevent cold sores.
