I'm cursed with cold sores esp. in the winter.I would get one after another almost all winter.
I got this and used it daily. I had NO cold sores until I stopped using it every day. I will go back to using it daily and hopefully will chase them away again.
It's not good to use outside in the winter. It makes your lips feel very cold.

This lip balm was put to the test immediately after receiving it. I felt some cold sores coming on the corner of my lip. I applied the lip balm the night before, and when I woke up the next morning, I had no cold sores. No other product works like this one does. Higly recommend this product.

The major benefit is a reduction of cold sores from a couple cold sores per year to NO COLD SORES for the past year and a half that I've been using the product. That alone makes this product outstanding. Note, I do use this product at least two or three times a day, not just because of the elimination of cold sores, but also because it goes on shiny like a mild gloss, and makes my lips look great. I recently tried a competitor product because it was all that was available in a local store, and it was waxy, made my lips look pale, and dried them out - yuck. I'm buying several Coldsticks this time, so I don't run out again!

The secondary (but also outstanding) benefits are the fact that this product contains sunscreen, as well as other high quality ingredients, and my lips now look and feel much smoother, healthier, younger. When I do occassionally wear lipstick or colored gloss, it goes on beautifully because my lips are so smooth and healthy now. I hope this company never stops making this product, and continues to maintain the high quality ingredients.

I have been using the product 2-3 times a day for the last 2 years, and haven't had a cold sore once! I generally would get 2-3 very bad cold sores a year, but this seems to prevent them. I hope that IF I do have one, that this product will promote healing.

I ordered this recently and came back to stock up. I haven't needed it for cold sores yet, but it worked like a miracle on my severely chapped lips!

I had traveled to a very dry climate then came home to 17 degree weather, and my lips were dry, sore and starting to peel. It went on smooth as silk with a very mild minty-herbal flavor. I used a simple facial scrub to exfoliate the dry rough skin on my lips, then followed up with this. What a treat! My lips are healed and healthy again - I'm a believer!

Learned about using lysine on lips sailing in HI from ocean cruising man...works great and is very comforting on chapped, sun-burned lips. It is a bit pricey so we have to watch where we put it b/c our dog loves the stuff.

I got this product because it claimed no side effects, and I needed something to soothe a skin condition I got after childbirth. Product works as expected, but seems a bit expensive for what seems to be hypoallergenic chap stick for sensitive users.

I love this product. I use it everyday, and have only had about one or two cold sores in the past 3 years. I might get a tingling like I am about to get a cold sore. As soon as I get home I put it on, and nothing ever happens. I used to get about one cold sore a month. This has been a lifesaver.
