This was the first product I tried when I decided to start doing my own brazilians. It was then to my dismay taken out of my local drugstore and I couldn't find it anywhere else. For 2 years I would alternate going to a salon and buying whatever over the counter brazilian wax was available. Thank goodness I found surgi-wax here again. I find I can do it myself with far less pain than any aesthetician and with this wax it makes it a lot easier. The consistency is a nice in between hard wax and cream and if used correctly it really gets all the hair. It doesn't harden too quickly and as such it won't get super stiff quickly and than break (which is a nightmare as those of you who do self waxing know)Also the price is excellent. My only complaint is that the ink on the outside of the bottle comes off with heat so be careful after microwaving and only hold the little handle extension or you will have blue print ink on your hands. It does wash off but is annoying. Otherwise excellent wax for at home brazilians and better than the sally hansen brands and other higher end salon brands I've tried.

I absolutely love this bikini wax! Its so nice not having to use/wash/replace those cotton strips! The wax itself hardens and theres no need for those dang strips anymore! Not to mention, the wax grabs every hair. If you are looking for a bikini wax you can use at home that actually works, you have to buy this wax!!

Probably the best hair removal product that I've tried. It removes most of the hair the first time. Since this was the first time I've used a hard wax product, I didn't know what to expect. The pre-epliation oil that came in the box really did the trick. The wax didn't stick to my skin and the hair came out easily. Well, as easily as ripping deeply rooted hair from a very sensitive area can be. This product can be used by yourself, but you would be better off having a second pair of hands. Do not put the wax on too lightly. It will cool way to quickly and you will have a devil of a time getting it off. I did have to heat the wax longer than what was stated on the package and ended up having to reheat it about 70% of the way through. The package also states to apply the wax when it is about the consistency of honey. I'd recommend the consistency of yogurt. The wax is probably only about 10 degrees hotter (which was still comfortable) and spreads easier. Give it about thirty seconds to set up, pat the wax a bit, get a good starting grip (1/3 to 1/2 inch), pull the skin taunt and let 'er rip. The other thing that you have to make sure of is to get a consistent coverage. If it is too thin, it will tear and you will have several pieces to deal with. Too thick and the wax won't harden properly.

might not be so bad for other areas but
I would not recommend for bikini area. Wax is messy and it falls apart when you go to peel it off. What doesn't peel off in a large area is almost impossible to remove.

Took much longer to heat up than recommended, but that was easy to fix.

This was my first time doing this at home and it was not easy. Other reviewer tips were helpful. I recommend applying in 1 or 2 inch wide strips and about 4 inches long. It was easy to tell when it was ready to pull off.

Good luck - definitely recommend a glass or 2 of wine before!

A full jar of product took longer than 60 seconds to heat up. Once it is heated, it stayed HOT for a long time. Had to wait for it to cool before applying.

Make sure to apply a generous amount when spreading the wax, otherwise the wax will break.

If self-waxing, lay down a plastic sheet to clear up with the dripping mess. If the product gets on clothes or towels, it won't wash off.

I only need to use it once a week. where I was tweesing daily. I warm it in the micro. it glids on my skin, I wait a few sec. test for dryness. then with a quick flick, away with unwanted hair. It's great. I have thied other types and this is the best for me. The one for the face does not work as well as the Surgi-Wax Brazilian Waxing Kit for Private, does (so I use it for my face). That is the ONE I am talking about here!
