A full jar of product took longer than 60 seconds to heat up. Once it is heated, it stayed HOT for a long time. Had to wait for it to cool before applying.

Make sure to apply a generous amount when spreading the wax, otherwise the wax will break.

If self-waxing, lay down a plastic sheet to clear up with the dripping mess. If the product gets on clothes or towels, it won't wash off.

I only need to use it once a week. where I was tweesing daily. I warm it in the micro. it glids on my skin, I wait a few sec. test for dryness. then with a quick flick, away with unwanted hair. It's great. I have thied other types and this is the best for me. The one for the face does not work as well as the Surgi-Wax Brazilian Waxing Kit for Private, does (so I use it for my face). That is the ONE I am talking about here!

First of all, be honest, you are pulling out pubic hair, its going to hurt, no matter what product you use. Second of all, you are pulling it out on yourself, its going to be tricky, and require some balance and flexibility. Its really a big help if you get a professional one done, at least once or twice. Then NEVER SHAVE AGAIN. That way, the professional will get the worst out of the way. Once you've had a few, the hair pulls out easier and it hurts less. Also, you can kind of pay attention to what she's doing to get an idea of techniques.

I like to sit on the edge of my tub, facing a stool with a small stand up adjustable mirror on the stool. I put my tub of wax on the stool too, so everything is within reach. And to the comment "you people who liked this product must not be waxing the undercarriage"... YES! I am waxing 100%.

My recommendation, start at the bottom, and work your way up. Paint on a strip about 1/2 - 1 inch wide and 2 -3 inches long. Do one side at a time. (When you get good, you can alternate sides, so that one side is cooling, while you apply the other, to save time. I usually have 3 or 4 sections cooling at once, but it takes practice and planning.) Start at the bottom so that you can apply a little bit of a tale where you plan to grab the wax. The less hair there is in the tale, the better, otherwise, you have to flick up wax with hair in it, and that hurts. Let it cool, it should no longer be sticky when you touch it, but it should not be totally cool either, otherwise it will break. Use one hand to hold down the skin around it, and the other hand to pull, take a deep breath, close your eyes and pull as fast as you can on an exhale. Once you pull that section, paint on wax on the section above it, this way, you can overlap the wax a little bit on the hairless section to create a nice little handle for the next pull. This handle will flick up easily with no pain, because there's no hair in it. The "lips" hurt the least actually. (Just make sure you hold them tight with the other hand, otherwise, it will really hurt.) The frontal area hurts the worst, right above the little man in the canoe ;) Afterwards, use baby oil (cheapest option for oil). This will help all little bits of wax to come right off. Then do some cat stretches and child's pose, your lower back will probably be a little sore.
It is normal to be red, have a little bit of blood, and then have bumps the next day. You just pulled your hair out of the root for Pete's sake. But by day 2, you'll be nice and smooth.

My friend got a box without the oil...applied it anyway and pulled several layers of skin off!! Make SURE you use the oil, ANY oil actually, will work. This stuff goes on any direction and pulls off in any direction. Never leaves a hair behind. Yes, there is pain, but it's a bikini wax, for goodness sake! I've been waxing for 20 years and this product beats salon waxing hands down. Try small areas first then spread it on bigger as courage builds. Allow to dry for a full minute before pulling off...amazing.

You have to accept the fact that waxing your bikini line is going to involve some pain. You also need some intestinal fortitude. With those two aspects in mind, this product works great! I highly recommend getting your very first bikini wax done by a professional and then use this product thereafter once the hair grows back and it's more fine. I have had professional waxes and the day after I always get a few little white heads where the hair follicle was disturbed. This also happens when I use this product but I believe that's normal. Loves: no cloth strips, cost of product, effective, easy. Complaints: wax cools off within a few minutes and gets stringy so you need to work rather quickly

The 'pros' I indicated about this product are mostly in comparison to other similar products. It is relatively easy to "wash" off, as the little bits that are left behind after waxing will eventually come off. Sometimes you have to be patient, though. I didn't select "minimal pain," for example, because I think most would agree that pulling out large sections of your pubic hair is painful no matter which product you use ... no getting around that. I have used a few other home waxing products - most recently Sally Hansen All Over Body Wax Kit. I can't use Sally Hansen anymore because each time I do, I get a very itchy rash covering not only the areas that I waxed, but the entire area around it as well. I'm not sure which ingredient(s) cause this, but it's very uncomfortable to say the least, and it doesn't go away for at least a week. Keep in mind that I have never in my life reacted to any beauty product this way and my skin is not sensitive.

But ... back to the product at hand. I do like Surgi Wax quite a bit. Home bikini waxing takes some practice, though - you probably won't think it's very easy even after you've done it two or three times. I've been waxing at home for a number of years, and I'm pretty good at it by now. I think that the Sally Hansen product is actually faster once you get the hang of it, but the rash is too big a con to continue use.

I use this product every month. I grew up in Brazil and I have waxed all my life. When I moved to the USA, I found very expensive to wax compare to Brazil. I had to find a wax that would get the job done that I could do it myself. I found Surgi-Wax Brazilian Waxing Kit for Private Parts at [...]. I used and that is it. It is the best wax out there. The secret though is to put the oil before you apply the wax and do small parts at a time. Do not let the wax sit on your skin for more than 1 minute because it will get cold and it may break. Apply and remove right the way. It works perfect for me. I highly recommend this product. Actually, a few of my friends also use this wax because of my recommmendations and of course it is fabulous and it works!!!

The only product of that kind that really do the job! If you go for Brazilian do not waste money on Sally Hansen stuff, get Surgi-wax.
