It still rips the hair out; painful, but smooth. With the old formula, it came with this oil pain relief, but not with this one. I am actually glad it doesn't come with it because I would be tempted to use it to relieve the pain, but then bumps would form the next day. I didn't use any sort of powder and it worked fine. Although, to ease the pain a bit, trim the hair to 1/4" or w/e the recommended length is. Mine was longer than that, and I don't recall it being that painful... Comments about Surgi-Wax Hair Remover, For Bikini, Body & Legs, 4 oz: I can get this product locally but no where can I find the original tan colored wax. This is a thicker green color which does not heat as well in the microwave and does not have the pliability as the original formula - it can break off if you leave it too long before removal. I have been waxing myself for 40 years; clean up of any wax requires oil. I have never used oil before waxing as one reviewer mentioned, but clean and dry thoroughly so hair stands away from skin - a light dusting of powder can help if you are having trouble getting all hairs - use tweezers for the stubborn ones. For the money, this is easy and cheap. My sister uses Zip brand wax, heated in a small slow cooker; might try that next.

Best Uses Comments about Surgi-Wax Hair Remover, For Bikini, Body & Legs, 4 oz: I thought, based on the reviews, this would be like what they use in my salon. It was awful. It wasn't pliable or easy to spread on or get off. I don't think any hair was removed when I tried a small patch on my lower leg. I had a horrible mess and I think it would take an entire day to try to use it on even one leg. I regret buying this item.

Cons Best Uses Comments about Surgi-Wax Hair Remover, For Bikini, Body & Legs, 4 oz: Ive used MANY types of products. In college i came across this one, cuz it didnt require any of those strips i decided to try. OMG. Its soo simple. Its like playing with candle wax. U just apply the oil first, then rub the melted wax on. The oil kinda keeps the pain at minimum. But regardless its so clean AND CHEAP. Ppl who have complained about the clean up, cmon... use ur head its WAX. Let it dry then rip it off.. i was smart and usually have newspapers laid out. Or use the baby oil to scrub off. Unfortunately, my [...] no longer carries it, ive been trying even more expensive products. Nads requires ur hair to be a certain length, so u'll be trimming forever before u can even wax. Other products require strips. BUT they always dont give you enough of that. And u end up with a 20.00 kits for no reason. Trust me. This is a great product. I use it mainly for the bikini lines for the summer. My sister loves it too, she uses it for arm hair. She agrees, we both tried many. This is it for us. Hope this helps.

Comments about Surgi-Wax Hair Remover, For Bikini, Body & Legs, 4 oz: I am of Italian descent and thus grew facial hair that became quite noticable starting at around 35. The salons waxing was too expensive. The wax with the muslin strips was messy and ineffective. The pre-waxed strips, the peel and apply kind, simply didnt work. Surgi wax heats up quickly, you don't need strips, and it gets all the hair around my lip area and chin on the first pass. The local drugstores stopped carrying it, so THANK YOU Drugstore.com for saving me from having to start shaving!

Best Uses Comments about Surgi-Wax Hair Remover, For Bikini, Body & Legs, 4 oz: I just finish using this product 10 mins ago and I am totally furious. I used to get my wax done on salon but I really want to try to do it myself at home. Believe me I have read the instruction 2times before applying the wax because I am new to self waxing.I don't think I misunderstand the instruction and somehow the wax did not work at all. It did pull some hair but not all, and the wax breaks when I pull it out. It makes a small piece stick to my skin with my hair mix in it...it is definitely not a pleasant experience
