This product works great. there's no better product like this. it's for the face but i've also used the larger of the two sizes to touch up the bikini line so it has plenty of pulling power. And it's super easy to use and not messy at all.

Looking at some of the bad reviews given here i can only conclude some people are unaware of what to expect and how to use this product. So i'll address a few of their complaints and share some tips i've learned.

1. you may not get every hair on the first round. that's normal. it even happens at professional waxers. there's plenty of product on these strips. just go over the area again. as often as you want/need to. that's what the professionals do. once they do the original pull, they use the wax on the strip to grab the stragglers. it's quick and easy to do with these strips and no additional pain.

2. you will get some sticky stuff on your skin some of the time. this too is normal. it is not a product defect. these strips use maple honey, not wax. but even wax products can leave deposits on the skin. just use something oily to remove any sticky spots. i've used baby oil or makeup remover oil on a cotton pad (not a cotton ball) with equal success. only takes a little oil and a few seconds. then wash as usual.

3. remember to notice which way the hair is growing. pull the skin taut. apply the strip starting at the root. remove from the opposite direction. for chin and upper lip that typically means removing from bottom to top. for brows you should remove from outside in.
fyi, their instructions are confusing about the brow area. first they say, "pull up and out." then they say, "always remove hair in the opposite direction of hair growth." most brow hairs grow towards the outside of the eye so to go in the opposite direction you'd go from the outside in.

i think what they meant to say is: 1.) pull skin taut above the brow going upward and outward. 2.) apply strip. 3.) remove strip from outside in.
it's just not worded very well.

TIPS: If your hair is long on upper lip, chin, cheek area, trim it first so it is about 1/4". if it's too long the hair can break before it can be pulled out of the follicle. this doesn't seem to be necessary for eyebrows however, probably due to their thickness and strength.

skin needs to be clean, dry and not oily.

trim the strip down to be the exact size you need before you pull it apart. it's easier to manage and using only 1/2 strip reduces the risk of taking off the tail end of your eyebrow by accident. you can also shape it if you have an eyebrow stencil that matches your shape.

this box should last the average user a year. maybe longer.

it contains 8 pairs of small strips and 8 pairs of medium strips on sheets of 4 each. each pair is stuck together by their sticky sides. when they pull apart the honey remains equally distributed in a thin layer.
they say to heat them in your hands for 15 seconds to make it easier to pull apart. i zap them with the hairdryer for a couple of seconds and pull them apart. then pull skin taut and press on. then i rub it a couple of times and then pull.

used correctly, this product works perfectly. i highly recommend it.

This product used to be great until the company changed the product. These strips are now useless. The wax on the strips isnt even sticky. Doesnt remove any hair. I dont know why they changed them but new does not mean improved in this case. Will not buy these again.

terrible strips to open each one is impossible, not sticky enough to grab and pull hair. other name brand waxx strips are infinitely better, cost a bit more but worth it.

Comments about SurgiCare Assorted Honey Wax Strips, 16 strips:

I used to use another brand (Sally Hansen), but when I was unable to get the other brand at my local store after moving, I decided to try Surgi-wax. I am so happy I did; these strips work so much better and are a lot less messy! I, also, like the soothing gel that comes with Surgi-wax strips. The strips do a great job, but will miss a couple of stray hairs on my lip where the hairs are most stubborn; I just quickly pluck them while my skin is still number from waxing. I haven't found these strips to be any more painful than other brands I've used or than getting a professional wax.

Comments about SurgiCare Assorted Honey Wax Strips, 16 strips:

It does a really good job at getting every piece of "peach fuzz" hair but leaves just about all the course hair behind. Unfortunately, I'm talking about "man type" facial hair. The little microwave pots of wax from the same brand are more of a hassle but do a way better job. I'll probably keep a few of these in my travel kit though, 'cause they're better than nothing.

Also, leaves stickiness behind. You can fold the strip and use the back to pull some of it off, but I still had to use peanut butter (an old trick for getting tree sap off) to get it all.

With or without peanut butter (lol) my skin had a burning feeling afterward that I don't usually get from waxing.

Comments about SurgiCare Assorted Honey Wax Strips, 16 strips:

This works just fine, but there's not that many in a box. And I would prefer a box for only upper-lip wax strips, as some of the sizes are too narrow (for chin/cheek?). Still leaves some hair behind, so I end up tweezing the leftover or using another half of a strip to get the remainder. Its good enough for its price, and I love the Soothing Gel because its so cooling and awesome! But once its done, I will go back to Sally Hansen wax strips, which I've been using for 3 years now.

Comments about SurgiCare Assorted Honey Wax Strips, 16 strips:

These are the best wax strips that I have ever used. They are extremely convenient and dont take forever to use. The wax comes on a strip of fabric like material. Hold it a few seconds to warm them and pull apart. This actually gets all of the hair (I have used sugar wax, hot wax, and other strips) and these are by far superior in removing hair. It also leaves little to no wax residue and comes with a little tube of soothing lotion. Love these and I even have a back up box of them.
