The natural bristles are gentle, yet effective in cleaning under the nail. I don't understand the complaint of the reviewer who said the bristles have an unpleasant odor. My brush has no odor at all. I use it daily, and when done, I set it up on its end to drain all of the water out of the bristles, and let it air dry. I have it sitting in a soap dish that drains the water away and it isn't in a humid room; yet, it looks as if it has been sitting in stagnant water for a month. Gross. I like buying natural products rather than plastic but this one is best avoided. Reviewed by 26 customers Sort by Displaying reviews 1-10 Previous | Next » 4/29/2012 Feels great, hope it lasts Pros

Comments about Swissco Wooden Natural Bristle Nail Brush, 1 ea: I grew up with a similar nail brush from Swissco in the house, but that one was made of plastic, not wood. The wood is starting to split only after a week of storing it above the shower. To prevent the wood from splitting, it probably need to be stored in between uses away from water or excessive humidity, which isn't very convenient. Comments about Swissco Wooden Natural Bristle Nail Brush, 1 ea: It is bigger than it looks, it's not one of those tiny plastic ones at all. I have been buying ones made of wood for over a decade, I prefer them. Yes, wood, when wet, must then be kept somewhere that it has the opportunity to dry again. The bristles are excellent, not the plastic that tear apart your cuticles and skin, but they get gardening, cooking, etc. stuff from under your nails and great for feet actually at the larger size. Fits well in the hand. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Swissco Wooden Natural Bristle Nail Brush, 1 ea: The bristles are too soft to clean between nails and fingers. The bristles fall out all over the place and make a mess and a nuisance. I'm going to use an old toothbrush as a nailbrush instead as this one is worthless. I was really disappointed, as it looked so nice.
