Systane is so gentle that my doctor says to use it whenever my eyes are uncomfortable, dry, itching, or burning. Systane has helped arrest cornea dystro[hy.. I use it a twice a day plus more for discomfort, as needed.. . I carry a small bottle in my purse and make sure there is a backup bottle stored, for the bedside bottle. I am learniing to get more of it into my eyes and less on my face. I am 89 1/2 years old and very grateful to Syustane and two doctors for the gift of vision.

This eye drop is strange. When I first put it in my eyes, it blurs my vision for more than several minutes. Once I get past that, my eyes are nice and moist for hours. I can't use this if I'm about to go somewhere or am on the road or in the midst of working on the computer. But I must say that if you can get past the initial blurriness, the clearer vision lasts a while. I just usually don't bother.

I bought this product after having problems with another. It was recommended by my eye doctor for dry eye. After using it once a day for several applications I had serious reactions of red eye and pain, also reaction from spillage onto my face.
I have stopped use and have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow.

I was given a sample of these and GenTeal... no comparison. Systane initially felt more soothing, but GenTeal really prevented my eyes from being tired... I don't think these are worth the money.

Not the same as those cheap eyedrops. These work wonders and they are worth every penny. Relieves itchy, tired, allergy eyes.

High in price, and ingredients are same as cheaper eye drops at half the price. Caused blur and made my eyes feel sticky.

I recently moved to an area in the desert, and that did a number on my eyes. They began getting dried out, which caused a lot of mucus to build up in my eyes. Since I wear contacts, it was much worse. My eye doctor explained to me that this was due to the desert's drying out of the eyes, but only suggested that I use a different type of contact lens. I needed something to help combat the dryness, so I purchased Systane. Right away it made a huge difference. The mucus cleared up and I could wear my contacts with less irritation. This is definitely something you should consider if you experience dry eyes on a normal basis.
