I've been experiencing acne breakouts on my face and chest area for over a year. I tried almost every OTC and prescription acne product, with no luck. I came upon the Dickinson's witch hazel a couple weeks ago, and decided to give it a shot. WOW!!! My chest breakouts are almost all gone, and my facial complexion is now amazing! (Just a note, when I first started using it on my face, I broke out and got dry skin around my mouth area, but after about a week, it all went away.) Now I have almost no acne, smaller pores, and my skin is GLOWING! Please give this product a try if you are suffering from similar issues. (Btw, Dickinson's witch hazel was far superior in combating my issues as compared to the Thayer's version.) VS Most Liked Negative Review This works fine as a ... This works fine as a toner, but the smell is awful. I couldn't get used to it and quit using it on my face. Works well for bugbites and things of that nature. Comments about T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Astringent For Face and Body, 16 oz: I love this Which Hazel! It works heavenly over the entire body! It is a safe and natural cleanser, toner and it works on ALL skin types. I noticed in my high end products that what was commonly featured as a "special ingredent" is which hazel. I since have found that most ingredents that make a product work are very inexpensive! No need to spend 50 dollars to get a facewash with which hazel and vitamin c in it. Get which hazel and add it to your face wash. If I want vitamin E I take a 1000 mg vitamin E capsule *freshest available* and pop it then squirt it in to my facewashes, lotions and directly on my skin. If I want vitamin C I use Ascorbic Acid Crystalline Powder (from the health food store very cheap, a little goes a LONG way and last forever! NutriBiotic is the best) I take my Which Hazel- Add Essential oils and it makes a high end toner right there! Pros

Comments about T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Astringent For Face and Body, 16 oz: I love the fact that it is inexpensive and yet does what it says it does. It's great for sensitive skin -like mine - and calms the redness around my chin and laugh lines. It does have a strange scent, but it isn't the worst smell -- let's just say I doubt they'd ever create a perfume out of it. But in the end what matters is if it does its job and it does. Pros

Comments about T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Astringent For Face and Body, 16 oz: I wish I had found this sooner. I'm one of those people for whom adulthood failed to solve acne. This has finally done the trick, where even Retin A failed (and caused a great deal of skin irritation). Rather than 3-6 pimples per month, I now have only 1 every 3-4 months. (Note that I use this in conjunction with a salicylic acid wash. However, I was using the wash for years before adding witch hazel to my routine, so I'm pretty confident in attributing the improvement to the witch hazel. I have not yet experimented with eliminating the wash, so I can't be sure if it's the witch hazel alone, or the combination which is effective.) Pros

Comments about T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Astringent For Face and Body, 16 oz: I like the fact that it does not sting sensitive skin. It does the job well, and I like the way my skin feels afterward. It works gently but still effective without harsh chemicals , no stinging and no redness. Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments about T.N. Dickinson's All Natural Astringent For Face and Body, 16 oz: I tried this toner because it's cheap and I had read good reviews about it, but it's an awful toner. It doesn't cleanse your skin. My previous cleanser/toner was much better (Eskinol). I wanted to try this because it was cheap. Not worth it. It's awful. It smells so bad you'd want to puke. I can't apply this to my face again, my head seriously literally hurt from the smell that I had to lay down because I felt nauseous and just awful. THE SMELL IS AWFUL. And worse of all, I look at the cotton ball and it's clear. It does NOT clean your pores. It doesn't even get dirt out. ![]() |
