China Green Tips, Varietal Green Tea

A light & lingering tea with a fine, fresh flavor
Tazo China Green Tips contains a blend of high-grown Chinese Mao Feng green teas that are cultivated in Zhejiang province, and plucked in the spring as they have been for thousands of years. After havesting, the tea is quickly steamed to halt the fermentation process before it can darken the leaves and alter the fresh taste.
Tazo\ta' -zo\n.[It, tazisto modif. of Ba, tazor] (ca. 4786 B.C.) 32: the name given to the resting place where Chinese porters would set their loads of tea <Lin Po was exhausted by the time he reached the evening Tazo on the trail>.
At various times throughout history, Tazo has surfaced among the more advanced cultures of the day as a calming and lyrical addition to the routines of daily life. During the Tang Dynasty, around seventh century A.D., gifts of Tazo were used to coax various moguls into attending a summit meeting where China was, for the first time, unified.
