Chemical Name: TEMAZEPAM (tem-AZ-e-pam)
Temazepam 30mg is a benzodiazepine used to treat sleep disorders. It may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.
Some medicines or medical conditions may interact with Temazepam 30mg. INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking clozapine, disulfiram, or medicine for seizures. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions or concerns about using Temazepam 30mg.
Follow the directions for using Temazepam 30mg provided by your doctor. STORE TEMAZEPAM 30mg at room temperature, away from heat and light.
DO NOT TAKE TEMAZEPAM 30mg if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. DO NOT EXCEED THE RECOMMENDED DOSE or take Temazepam 30mg for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor. Exceeding the recommended dose or taking Temazepam 30mg for longer than prescribed may be habit-forming. If using Temazepam 30mg for an extended period of time, DO NOT SUDDENLY STOP taking Temazepam 30mg without your doctor's approval. When used for an extended period of time, Temazepam 30mg may not work as well and may require different dosing. Talk with your doctor if Temazepam 30mg stops working well. BEFORE YOU HAVE ANY MEDICAL OR DENTAL TREATMENTS, EMERGENCY CARE, OR SURGERY, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using Temazepam 30mg. AVOID ALCOHOL while you are using Temazepam 30mg. TEMAZEPAM 30mg WILL ADD TO THE EFFECTS of alcohol and other depressants (such as muscle relaxants). Ask your pharmacist if you have questions about which medicines are depressants. TEMAZEPAM 30mg MAY CAUSE drowsiness, dizziness, or lightheadedness. DO NOT DRIVE, OPERATE MACHINERY, OR DO ANYTHING ELSE THAT COULD BE DANGEROUS until you know how you react to Temazepam 30mg. Using Temazepam 30mg alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol may lessen your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks. SOME PATIENTS TAKING TEMAZEPAM 30mg have performed certain activities while they were not fully awake. These have included sleep-driving, making and eating food, making phone calls, and having sex. Patients often do not remember these events after they happen. Such an event may be more likely to occur if you use a high dose of Temazepam 30mg. It may also be more likely if you drink alcohol or take other medicines that may cause drowsiness while you use Temazepam 30mg. Tell your doctor right away if such an event happens to you. BEFORE YOU BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter, check with your doctor or pharmacist. CAUTION IS ADVISED WHEN USING TEMAZEPAM 30mg IN THE ELDERLY because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine, especially confusion, dizziness, daytime drowsiness, falling, and staggering. FOR WOMEN: DO NOT USE TEMAZEPAM 30mg if you are pregnant. Avoid becoming pregnant while you are taking it. If you think you may be pregnant, contact your doctor immediately. TEMAZEPAM 30mg IS EXCRETED IN BREAST MILK. DO NOT BREAST-FEED while taking Temazepam 30mg.
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while using Temazepam 30mg include clumsiness, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, lightheadedness, stomach upset, unsteadiness, or weakness. If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience memory loss. CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY if you experience bizarre behavior; changes in personality, mood, or behavior; chest pain; confusion; depression; disorientation; fainting; falling or staggering; hallucinations; irregular heartbeat; loss of coordination; severe drowsiness; or unusual tiredness or weakness; swelling of your hands, legs, face, lips, eyes, throat, or tongue; difficulty swallowing or breathing; or unusual hoarseness. AN ALLERGIC REACTION to Temazepam 30mg is unlikely, but seek immediate medical attention if it occurs. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include confusion, slow reflexes, clumsiness, deep sleep, and loss of consciousness.
You may experience trouble sleeping for 1 to 2 nights after you stop taking Temazepam 30mg. If it continues, contact your doctor. DO NOT SHARE TEMAZEPAM 30mg with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE TEMAZEPAM 30mg for other health conditions. KEEP TEMAZEPAM 30mg out of the reach of children.
