Healing Cracked Feet
Most people spend a significant portion of the day on their feet, but doing so can be extremely painful if you suffer from dry, cracked heels. Cracks can form as a result of wearing sandals regularly, and they can also be symptoms of certain medical conditions.
Soothing foot creams and lotions are designed to impart moisture and promote the healing of cracked heels. Many of these products include ingredients like aloe vera, shea butter, and/or glycerin to help provide relief from discomfort and also promote better skin elasticity in the future.
Exfoliate to Remove Rough Skin and Calluses
Another common issue that can plague feet is calluses. These patches of thick, dead skin form when your foot constantly rubs against the inside of your shoe. They can be both unsightly and uncomfortable.
Certain creams are specifically designed to exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells that build up on your feet. These products may exfoliate physically with granular beads and salts that slough off excess skin, or they might exfoliate chemically with ingredients that help loosen dead skin and make it easier to wash away.
Fighting Odor with Foot Creams
Foot odor can be an embarrassing problem, but it's also something that you can combat relatively easily by using foot creams and lotions. Odor is caused by bacteria, so regularly washing and exfoliating skin can help keep the feet smelling fresh.
You can also find certain products that are formulated with antibacterial natural oils. Additionally, many foot creams have fragrances that can mask odor.
