Instead, I took the advice of my Thai friend: they're best cooked when boiled in water for around 5-7 minutes (boil the noodles and contents of veggie packet together), drain, then you can stir fry in olive oil with some fresh/frozen veggies, some pre-cooked chicken, shrimp or beef. Add the seasoning and oil packets (half of the contents, or the entire pack, up to you), and this is a nice little meal! I admit I do not eat this as a soup, preferring my little recipe...I also boil the noodles and dried veggies from the packet for the time mentioned above, drain, then just add the seasoning packets: delicious! (Boiling the noodles separately ensures they're completely cooked. I do agree with some of the other reviewers who mentioned the noodles weren't cooked if you followed the package directions.) Service and delivery comments: Occasionally, the plastic bowls break in shipping (the fault of the delivery service, not Drugstore.com). That is my only negative comment! Drugstore.com customer service is terrific in replacing damaged items! They are 100% geared toward customer satisfaction, in my experience. Comments about Thai Kitchen Rice Noodle Bowl, Thai Ginger, 2.4 oz: I liked the fact that these noodles only take 2 minutes to cook. They taste great but they are very salty! I fixed the issue by only adding half of the seasoning packet. Delicious!! Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Thai Kitchen Rice Noodle Bowl, Thai Ginger, 2.4 oz: Good for cold and flu season. Or for a nice warming snack. Hubby works outside in winter and brings this, in addition to his lunch. All you need is hot water. Convienent and tasty. Different than your average chicken noodle soup.
