My husband plays hockey AND brings home his entire teams jerseys for me to launder...with this stuff its EASY!!! You never know if someone (even hockey players)are gonna have a reaction to anything TOO harsh so I'm careful of what I use. This stuff gets the jerseys fresh and clean which is PRETTY amazing!!! Because its so thick ot has lasted through 3 seasons (almost 1 1/2 years)...so while it IS pricey...its well worth the money...NOTHING has left the team jerseys so clean!!! DEFINATELY recommend it...if you are sick of the stink!!!

I use this on a regular basis for underwear and synthetics.. I really like the scent. It removes perspiration and leaves your things smelling nice. I just wish that The Laundress products were packaged differently. I now have an HE clothes washer. With it, you cannot run water into the machine at the same time that you have to add your detergent. This leaves you with a gloppy container in which to try to measure the detergent. I've started just pouring the detergent directly into the washer from the bottle in the amount that looks to be what is required.
Comments about The Laundress Sport Detergent, 16 fl oz:
First of all, the detergent comes in a shampoo-like bottle ... with no measuring cup. The recommended amount for one load is 1/8 cup or 30 ml. Exactly who has a measuring cup for 1/8 of a cup?! I ended up using the cap for a bottle of Nyquil which is marked off in 10, 20 and 30 ml amounts (although hopefully I won't end up chugging sport detergent the next time I get a cold). You could, in theory, simply squeeze the detergent into the machine, but the point of using concentrated detergent and High Efficiency machines is that you *don't* overuse the detergent, right?
Second, the detergent is extremely viscous (I assume because it's concentrated) and similar to shampoo in consistency. Now this is fine if you're rubbing the substance with your hands into your hair. However, if you're squirting it into a measuring cup (or Nyquil cup, as the case was), it becomes impossible to pour into the machine without making a mess of everything and wasting some very expensive detergent in the process.
Third, the detergent is quite heavily perfumed, unlike all the other sport washes I've tried. It's not altogether an unpleasant scent, but generally for my workout clothes I prefer to simply get the odor out rather than adding anything in.
Never again -- next time I'm going back to Double Clean / Penguin / Win which get the odor out of my training gear and are actually easy to use.

This product gently cleans my fitness apparel leaving my clothes soft and smelling unbelievably fresh. I'm so happy The Laundress developed this product.
Always pre-treat soiled areas with The Laundress Stain Solution or Wash & Stain Bar. We recommend washing cotton & spandex inside out with hot water. Hang dry in order to avoid shrinkage, damage to elasticity and color fading from the dryer.
