These are not your average breathe mints. They contain no sugar and have an ingredient to neutralize bad breath. The entire thera breath line is like this. It truly removes the source of odor on your tongue & mouth with its oxygenating ingredients. The flavor is a soft mint, and you can't taste the tangerine despite the name of the product. The flavor isn't as strong as an altoid, nor does it give you that burning sensation so it's really gentle in the mouth and kids could use these. They are square in shape, and about the size of a nickel, so bigger than your average circle shaped mint. They last forever in your mouth, and really do help to produce saliva which will also help breathe issues. I love how these are individually wrapped for freshness. At first you think [$] for a box of mints, but you get 100 of them, so that is only 10 cents each. You cant put a price on fresh breathe vs the sugary mints other brands offer that just mask odor. These were invented by a dentist, all of the therabreath gums, mints, & strips work wonders. Don't be fooled by other brands of mints you see at the counter to prevent bad breathe, these actually have technology behind them and ingredients to get rid of those germs. I would love to see more flavors, and again I did not taste any tangerine so these aren't some weird flavor. For reference the mint itself is a semi-soft mint. It doesn't break your teeth if you decide to bite into it.

This product comes up when you google "dry mouth lozenges", which is why I purchased it. I didn't realize it was developed, and is marketed for, primarily people with chronic bad breath. If it works for them, great. I have a severe case of dry mouth disease and needed a lozenge that would help me avoid waking up at night, choking, because my tongue was stuck to my palate. I found the taste of this product to be EXTREMELY unpleasant. In fact, I have to admit, it did actually cause me to salivate -- because I was so nauseated! I honestly can't understand why it was, according to the front of the box, awarded the Gold Medal by the "American Masters of Taste for best tasting mints". Seriously? You've got to be kidding. And in case anyone is thinking that I have bizarre taste buds, let me assure you that I am an accomplished chef and am regularly consulted by foodies on appropriate wine pairings. If anyone else needs a great lozenge for dry mouth, and can't chew the totally wonderful Biotene Dry Mouth gum because of TMJ issues, let me recommend Salese Dry Mouth Comfort soft lozenges, available on this website, and, not that I have been able to find, anywhere else. They last nearly 2 hrs in my mouth, have a pleasant, unobtrusive flavor and work great to keep my mouth lubricated with no bad side effects. Whatever you do, do NOT order the "Scandinavian Formulas SalivaSure" lozenges. They are bitter and grainy and actually dry your mouth out even more. Hope this has helped someone.

These mints seem to work well to freshen breath and make the mouth feel clean. I don't have dry mouth but I didn't feel any effects of the wetting properties they claim to have. I think they are a good size and you don't take the mandarin at all. They taste more like a sweet mint.

Maybe I wasn't expecting too much from the product and I haven't been disappointed. The taste is not overly minty and sugary like SO many breath products, true. That's good because I just like a bit of energy before I work out and don't want to use mints all day; so one is just right. They are individually wrapped - thank you. I'm tired of packs of mints collecting lint in my purse and wouldn't want to offer one to a friend or colleague. Individual wrapping is a big plus. Yes, it helps with dry mouth. Many medications cause this condition and one lozenge works great. I am 57 and have noticed my mouth getting drier over time. My dentist recommended Biotene and I use it at night but don't want to carry around a little spray bottle all day. These mints are perfect for that. I like the taste but not so much I have them all day long. They are definitely worth a try if you have dry mouth or want to freshen your breath without a sugary aftertaste.

Comments about TheraBreath Mouth Wetting Lozenges, Mandarin Mint, 100 ea:

Deliciously refreshing mint, but not too overpowering like Altoids. Fresh breath in a jiff, but without the sugary taste of some mints or the medicinal strength (and smell) of most mouthwashes. Despite the picture on on the box, these mints do not taste of citrus at all. But they do have a very pleasant peppermint taste. I don't have a problem with dry mouth, but my husband does. He says they work great for him. I'll definitely buy more and would recommend them to others.

I'd like to carry these in my pocket or purse, to use when my mouth gets so dry that's it's hard to talk. It's great that the mints are individually packaged, but I am unable to pull or tear the packages open...I have to use scissors, and since I don't want to carry scissors with me, I can use these only at home.

Comments about TheraBreath Mouth Wetting Lozenges, Mandarin Mint, 100 ea:

As many diabetics know, dry mouth is a side effect of high blood sugars. Of course, getting blood sugar under control is of paramount importance; however, even the most compliant diabetic will go high from time to time.

That's why I commend this product to other diabetics. Dry mouth causes cavities and bad breath, and this stimulates relatively long-lasting saliva production without including sugar.

A word about the taste: it is bearable, not delightful. The zinc in the product gives it a slightly unpleasant metallic tang, and there is no discernable citrus. It is strong mint (peppermint, I believe) with Xylitol for a touch of artificial sweetness followed by metallic aftertaste.

I purchased this to try as I'm dieting and bad breath has become an issue with the diet restrictions. So I thought what would it hurt to try a bad breath eliminator, as opposed to masking it with gum or mints. I just couldn't get over the taste. It was horrible!! If you are desperate, this is probably your best bet, but if you are looking for something to try, I would find a smaller version of this and give it a trial run. It does work though, if you can get over the taste! Ugh!
