Indications

Warnings
Alcohol Warning: If you consume 3 or more alcoholic beverages every day, ask your doctor whether you should take acetaminophen or any other pain relievers/fever reducers. Acetaminophen may cause liver damage.
Do not use: if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI)(certain drugs for depression, psychiatric, or emotional conditions, or Parkinson's disease), or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug. If you do not know if your prescription drug contains an MAOI, ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this product. Also, with any other product containing acetaminophen (see Overdose Warning). Ask a doctor before use if you have:
Heart disease
High blood pressure
Thyroid disease
Diabetes
Glaucoma
A breathing problem such as emphysema, asthma, or chronic bronchitis
Trouble urinating due to an enlarged prostate gland
A sodium restricted diet
Ask a doctor before use if you are taking sedatives or tranquilizers.
When using this product:
Do not exceed recommended dosage
Avoid alcoholic drinks
Alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness
Be careful when driving a motor vehicle or operating machinery
Excitability may occur, especially in children
Stop and ask a doctor if:
Pain or nasal congestion gets worse or lasts for more than 7 days
Fever gets worse or last more than 3 days
Redness or swelling is present
Sore throat is severe, persists more than 2 days, is accompanied or followed by fever, headache, rash, nausea or vomiting

I really love Theraflu when I have a cold. It's warm, lemony, and soothing. The antihistamine gives me medicine-head, but it doesn't knock me out cold like most do, so I can even take it when I'm at work. However, for me it's really best suited for only a moderate cold, not for a severe cold or flu. That's why I'm only giving it 4 stars.
Adults and children 12 years of age and over: dissolve contents of one packet in 8 oz. hot water; sip while hot. Consume entire drink within 10-15 minutes.

If using a microwave, add contents of one packet to 8oz. of cool water; stir briskly before and after heating. Do not overheat.
