I used this for many year with my contact lens and it was always great. 2 years ago I detached my retina and had to have extensive surgery ( scleral buckle, laser etc). My eye became incredibly dry post surgery and did not respond to all the lubricants and drops suggested by my surgeon. I finally just went back to using Thera-tears, even though it seemed too "thin and watery" to be really useful for me... no further problems. I use them as I get into bed and first thing in the morning when I awaken. I seldom need to use it during the day unless it is the middle of winter and the house atmosphere is very dry. My husband had never had a problem with dry eyes but post cataract surgery for both eyes he developed it. I suggested he us the Thera tears. Once again, no further problems. It is expensive but it lasts a long time and you don't have to constantly re-treat yourself during the day. Nothing else like it on the market, get some.

I live in the Sonoran desert in southwestern Arizona. As you would expect, the air is very dry here. To relieve my dry eyes, I put one or two drops in each eye a couple of times a day. This producdt immediately soothes and moistens my eyes. I like that it is preservative free, too!

I wear contacts and Thera Tears keeps them cushioned during the day better than anything else I've tried. The price is a little on the expensive side, but there was a coupon in the box, so that's helpful. Some eye drops spill out wildly, but this is a nice controlled drop. The lubricant eye drops don't mention contacts, but I've used them with no problems. Thera Tears also has a version specifically for contacts (cheaper & smaller bottle), but it's harder to find in stores. Comparing ingredients, they seem to be about the same anyway. The Lubricant eye drops are rated 2-LOW hazard on the cosmetic safety database. I like that I don't have to apply these every hour, just a few times a day keeps my eyes comfortable. If you have dry eyes, Thera Tears is the best.
