I have dry eye (and glaucoma). My insurance company decided to stop supporting Restasis prescriptions for my dry eye. My optometrist suggested TheraTears, so I decided to try them. After 3 years, I can tell you they are effective. I take 2/day (am & pm). Recently, I tried reducing my intake to 1/day and my eyes got dry & itchy within a couple of days. I am back on 2/day with happy eyes again. TheraTears benefit lots of body parts and functions (I am not a medical pro); I do not think Restasis offers much other than eye surface repair. TheraTears is also more cost effective.

Tryed TheraTears to help with chronic dry eye. Restasis was too expensive and plugs were not staying in place. Deciided to try the TheraTears. After apx 3 weeks of regular use, I think we are seeing some results of my dry eye, not being so dry and irritated. Also using Optive eye lubricant durning the day. So be between taking the TheraTears and using the OPTIVe eye drops I feel the sypmtoms of dry eye lessening. I'm going to contunue using the Thera tears a while longer and hope to have a more experienced review after using it for 6-8 weeks. I like the product so far and will continue to use it for now.

I did not experience any of the bad after taste so many other reviewer's complained about. Just drink plenty of water when you take the pills. They helped my eyes feel much better, in fact I've practically quit using drops.

I suffer with dry tears and I tried all kinds of perscription and over the counter eye drops to no effect. I tried Thera tears pills and immediately noticed a difference the next morning. I have already ordered three more bottles. The best.

I wanted to try this particular combination of Fish Oil and Flaxseed Oil, but have not noticed any improvement in the dryness of my eyes from taking this product vs. taking the supplements separately.

Six years ago I had to give up wearing contact lenses and go back to glasses because my eyes were hurting all the time. I had tried Restasis as well as tear duct plugs, but nothing helped. Even without the contacts, my eyes were hurting. TheraTears capsules, recommended by my optometrist, solved the problem. I began taking three capsules with breakfast every morning. When the pain eventually returned, my optometrist increased my dosage to four daily, and now my eyes feel fine.

I take 3 pills a day with breakfast, along with my other multi-vitamins. 1200mg Omega-3 is alot, so you can take 2 pills, which equals 800mg. The average from other brands is only 300mg.
