I've been tested for all of the known issues that cause this problem and they were all negative. For the past few years, I've been using BC to reduce the number of periods I have to I can enjoy my life instead of dying once a month. I must say...these little babies WORK! By now, I normally have had a combo of pain pills and would be struggling to stay awake. I've had two midol (yes only TWO) and this heatwrap for the past three hours and I have no desire to kill myself from the pain. They cool a little when you're sitting too long but a walk down the hallway or to the ladies room gets them heated again. I must say, I'm very impressed. I decided to try these pads in addition to it and they are GREAT!!! It is so effective for my severe pain, not to mention it lasts well over the 8 hours. (more like 12 hours). All of these years I have always thought to myself..."I wish there was a way to take my heating pad with me." Now there is a fantastic way. I own a restaurant and I am on my feet for hours on end. I can't let some cramps slow me down. The only complaint that I have with this product is that they make me a bit hot and sweaty. I use a washcloth as a buffer between the pad and my skin. It seems to help with the heat and moistness. My only complaint is that the wrap is ENORMOUS -- it's seriously nearly as long as my forearm (I'll admit that I'm rather petite) and it doesn't cover the right areas unless you're wearing rather granny panties. I don't mean that as a dig at the other ladies who have used this product with great success; it's just that few self-respecting menstruating woman under the age of 30 own underwear that is large enough to accomodate the pad. But, of course, it takes a while and it's not a great thing to keep filling your body full of chemicals. These are great -- the wonders of a heat pad with the convenience of mobility. They heat up in hardly any time, and don't stop me from living my life.
