Where have these been all of my life? And why aren't there billboards promoting them? :) I've suffered from severe cramps for years so badly that the one doctorI saw put me on meds that would block me from knowing I was hurting. I've been tested for all of the known issues that cause this problem and they were all negative. For the past few years, I've been using BC to reduce the number of periods I have to I can enjoy my life instead of dying once a month. I must say...these little babies WORK! By now, I normally have had a combo of pain pills and would be struggling to stay awake. I've had two midol (yes only TWO) and this heatwrap for the past three hours and I have no desire to kill myself from the pain. They cool a little when you're sitting too long but a walk down the hallway or to the ladies room gets them heated again. I must say, I'm very impressed. I agree with the others that they are a little expensive but this item will move from the luxury to necessity category in my book.

I've used this product several times before, and would definitely use again; however, I have ended up with burns from the heating elements in these pads. They have specific instructions on the maximum time you should wear these. Admitting fault, I did wear them longer than recommended, but because of circumstances, couldn't just whip it off.

I used a free sample of this when I got it. I tried it while at work. It did seem to help the cramps. However, once it wears out, the pain is back to usual. Plus, it is pretty uncomfortable to wear. During its usage, you feel warm, but the thing is big, so it feels like you are wearing a fanny-pack.

Comments about ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps, Menstrual Cramp Relief, 3 ea:

Heatwraps have made such a huge difference in the severity of my cramps. They work much faster and even better than my prescription medication. I compared these to the Playtex Heat Therapy Menstrual Cramp Relief Heat Patch. The Thermacare patches are shaped to cover the whole abdomen, compared to the small square Playtex patches. They are also much warmer than Playtex and last much longer than 8 hours, practically 12 hours. Because the iron particles in the middle are quilted, they don't fall and gather at the bottom of the patch. These patches cost more, but overall they are of a much better quality.

This product is completely brilliant! It activates after you shake it and stays warm for 8 hours. In addition to using it for soreness, I also like to keep it in my pockets during winter!

Comments about ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps, Menstrual Cramp Relief, 3 ea:

I take daily pain medication (CR morphine, butalbital, etc.) for Arnold-Chiari malformation (2 brain surgeries), scoliosis, spina bifida, MPS, FMS, TMJD (2 surgeries) -- doctors are loath to prescribe additional pain meds for any new pain. After using the pill then Depo Provera, for years, and then stopping it, I never got my period back. I thought I had gone from Depo to peri-menopause, and I wasn't complaining! Then, after 7 years -- I got my period back, and it has been HORRIBLE! (Pain begins in my lower back/abdomen, and goes to my KNEES!) Doctors WON'T prescribe pain Rx, and the OTC preparations are a joke! I was frantic until I found ThermaCare! My KILLER backache, abdominal pain, and cramps -- "wrapped" up! Saved my sanity! I am an EXPERT on pain, and I have NOTHING detrimental whatsoever to say about this product! These wraps are lifesavers!

It does take a little while to heat up, but they tell you that on the package. In my experience, they stay at maximum heat for 8+ hours, but they're still warm for several more hours after that -- up to 16 hours total. Worth the money. For my really bad cramps, it's worth it! I pair it with Aleve, but it's nice to be able to use less since Aleve isn't great for your kidneys (though it's a godsend in pain relief!). ThermaCare has lots of little discs, so it's not great to wear under tight fitting things. But I think ThermaCare works better.

I suffer from chronic pelvic pain (endometriosis), and these are a lifesaver to me. The heat is not too intense, but very steady and soothing. Also, they last a lot longer than 8 hours. I can put one on at 11:00 pm when I go to bed, and it's still working for me until lunchtime the next day. They're always, always, always, on stock in my medicine cabinet.

Please be careful with this product. I used as directed but still received burns that blistered. It's a great product (helped with the initial pain), but it needs a better backing. Use a washcloth or something to keep it from touching skin. Hopefully the maker will improve their product.

Comments about ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps, Menstrual Cramp Relief, 3 ea:

These Heatwraps have been a lifesaver. The cramp relief patches really work wonders. Even better than a heating pad, because the heat is concentrated where the pain is. When I use one, I sometimes forget I have it on (and even better, I forget about the cramps!). For me, they tend to last a little longer than 8 hours. They're great for the office. Although, in warmer weather, you will get hot. So if you're going to be outside and it's spring or summer, it's probably not the best time to use it.

These work so great! They actually work better than any pills I have tried. These are especially great during cold days because they will keep you warm. Beware though, on hot days this will only make you hotter! It's worth it; give these a try if you have very painful cramps!

Comments about ThermaCare Air-Activated Heatwraps, Menstrual Cramp Relief, 3 ea:

This product was not too effective for me. It took almost a half hour to get warm, and only lasted about six hours. It also did not get anywhere as hot as a heating pad, even on a low setting. For really bad cramps I don't think it would help much. In an emergency, if you couldn't use a heating pad, it would be better than nothing.
