My wife has trouble retaining salt, this stuff is a life saver because you can only eat so much salt on your foods, and this way she doesn't have to eat all day long which is not good for her wasteline!

These are great for building up my salt level which is low and this can lead to heart complications if the salt level gets too low. The tablets brought my salt level up by 4 points and this was good for me.

I sweat profusely during sports competitions in the terribly hot and humid conditions of TX. There is no sports drink that can replenish that much salt in so little time. Taking a salt tablet about every 10 or 15 minutes throughout a 2 hour competition is the only way for me to actually complete the event without painful muscle cramps. Plus I take one or two more after the event to aid the recovery process. Since perspiration levels are partially determined by heredity, I have also found it necessary to provide my teenage sons with a couple of salt tablets for use during their sports competitions.

Only drawbacks are the flavor, which you can avoid by swallowing quickly, and that it can casue stomach upset. Initially I took during exercise with high volume of water but it did upset my stomach a little. I switched to taking with meals and have not had a problem since. I take three tabs a day. I'm a large person who trains seriuosly 5-6 days a week. I do not add salt to my food. During the summer I produce alot of sweat, and I have trouble with cramps, especially in my hamstrings and calves. The Thermotabs have eliminated the leg cramps.
