My hair is wasit long, straight and combo of oily on top and dry on the bottom so finding a product that gives it body, keeps it from getting oily yet doesn't dry it out is not an easy thing. I've tried TONS of shampoos and conditioners ranging from very cheap to very expensive. I do like this product. For the money it cleans well, is gental and does seem to add some body. The scent is plesant, not over powering. It doest tend to dry a bit, and I use the companion conditoner with the shampoo. My hair feels soft and shiny. As far as thicker, I've noticed some improvment. It's done better then other products i've tried that promised the same thing. Some have left my hair oily and limp rather then thicker, but this product is good and did a decent job. I did try the Kiss my face product someone else mentioned here and liked the scent but it dried my hair a lot more then this did. I do recommend this product. For the money it's worth a try. Now that the formula has changed, it would appear that there are more moisturizers in the product and I do not get the fullness I was used to. My hair goes limp faster like over conditioning. I miss my thicker, fuller bouncy hair. Please bring the old formula back. It really worked. I am very disappointed. Comments about Thicker Fuller Hair Revitalizing Shampoo, 12 fl oz: Keep trying products for thin and fine hair. This made my hair soft & shiny, but I can't stand the smell! Unfortunately, I ordered more than one bottle, as well as the conditioner, hairspray, root lifting spray and serum. I guess that I'll be smelling like coffee for a long time! Hope my other hairsprays will cover up the smell. I see no difference in volume or thickness either.

The old Herbal Essence (with the flower child on the label) was the standard for many years, and this is as close a match as I have found since the real thing was discontinued. Sadly, they stopped making it green, but the bottle makes you think it is. It's still a good shampoo.

This "new" formula is thin (not concentrated), fragrance free, contains CAFFEINE and seems ineffective at making hair "Thicker & Fuller". Please bring back the thick, clean/fragrant and Caffeine Free ORIGINAL FORMULA. Note to Drugstore: Stop selling this one with Caffeine.
