She kept rubbing the pen for a good 10 minutes and blotting and the stain totally came out. That is what it is designed for. This stuff is magical. I carry it in my purse. Be very careful on denim, especially dark denim. I tried removing some freshly dripped jam from the leg of my jeans and I had to keep rubbing for over a minute to get the stain out. To my horror this pen also removed the indigo dye and there is a pale blotch where the stain used to be!! No amount of washing or treating can fix that. My nice jeans are now ruined. This is simply a must-have for anyone who eats out at restaurants, snacks in a car, sips anything in an office, or even has a random treat while on a leisurely stroll in the park -- or has ever accidentally bumped into anyone who does. Tide To Go simply can't be beat. Also great for traveling (planes, airports, etc.). I can't really live without this anymore. Once you use it on a stain, you can smell it on your clothes for the rest of the day. I don't know how anyone stands it. I threw away the product after only a few uses. Oxi Clean Spray-A-Way is just as good at removing stains but doesn't have the horrid odor. So far, all the stores I have visited carry this product instead of Oxi Clean, which is a shame. I used a different product and rinsed with water, but the stains did not come out. Last resort, used the Tide To Go on the WHOLE dress----took out ALL the stains!! LOVE it!!! I keep one in my purse (the new mini size is a recent addition), in the car and have one in my luggage. I've never had a spot that it didn't remove and has often saved me the embarrassment of "wearing" a food stain all day. Very easy to use and never leaves a ring or a mark. My only disappointment is that sometimes the tip will break off rendering the stick useless and wasteful. Maybe it is when it hasn't been used in awhile and becomes too dry. Maybe not 100% of the time, but often enough that I consider it close to miraculous. Use it as soon as you notice a spill or stain, and just soak it into the spot. In some cases the stain will just disappear, and that's that. In others you'll have to wash the item, but the Tide Stick will have gone a long way to preventing a lasting stain.
