These patches, though, are awesome, because they're less messy than salve and they contain the three medicines found individually in similar products. They have menthol, camphor, and capsicum. Look at the ingredients in most, if not all, similar products (Ben Gay Capsacin, IcyHot, etc.), and you'll see that each of these products only has one active ingredient. VS Most Liked Negative Review These patches are very ineffective I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WOULD GIVE SIMILAR RESULTS AS THE TIGER BALM OINTMENT, BUT IT DID NOT. IT DID NOT RELIEVE MINOR MUSCLE ACHES. I WILL GO BACK TO USING ICY HOT PATCHES. I THOUGHT THIS PRODUCT WOULD GIVE SIMILAR RESULTS AS THE TIGER BALM OINTMENT, BUT IT DID NOT. IT DID NOT RELIEVE MINOR MUSCLE ACHES. Comments about Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, 5 ea: The patches work better than the Tiger Balm ointment and do not stain clothing like the ointment. They come in two sizes - I prefer the smaller size. There is a cellophane-like seal on each patch, and it is difficult to remove with arthritic fingers. Also, you have to be careful the patch remains flat, because the glue is strong and the patch may stick together. Directions say not to get the patch wet, but if you forget and get in the shower with the patch still on your skin, it is the devil to remove after getting wet. For all the trouble though, the pain relief is worth it. Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Was this review helpful? Comments about Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, 5 ea: I was first introduced to Tiger Balm by an acupuncturist over 15 years ago.The patches are much more convenient than the salves and creams. They work quickly, stay in place and don't leave any residue. I use them to relieve muscle spasms/pain in my back and legs and am always amazed at how quickly they work. I just wish there were more patches in each box! Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend (1 of 1 customers found this review helpful) Was this review helpful? Comments about Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, 5 ea: My Tiger Balm patch is the perfect size for my lower back and stays on so well that I forget it's there. I get more relief from it than any of the hot/cold patches I've tried. I love them and won't use anything else now. Comments about Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, 5 ea: The patches are much better than the Tiger Balm in a tube. The difference is the capisum on the patch which , after an initial cold feel, gives a fairly quick numing as it releaves the pain. I use it on my lower back when I have overdonemy work or exercise. Comments about Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, 5 ea: Great product can apply where needed without getting on hands or clothes/bedding. And a great side effect is if I use while sleeping the next day at work when I start to sweat it kicks in again and helps reduce some of the pain. Comments about Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch, 5 ea: Starts to work moments after I put it on. The pain just slips away into the distance and allows me to walk better. I'm better able to keep up with my boy, just wish they made an endless energy patch. These things really are wonderful, I have shared them with my friends at work that have back and/or knee problems. I've never known anyone who didn't like them. I'm looking forward to trying the new large size patches that Tiger Balm just came out with. I also want to try their Arthritis Rub.
