Tiger Balm is incredible!!!!!! It seems to prevent Migraines, if applied the night before. It relieves aches and pains. Penetrates deep into the skin for lasting relieve. Wish it would come in some sort of spray or bottle. Dipping your fingers into jar may cause you to accidently touch your eyes or mouth..which will cause burning. It is still an EXCELLENT PRODUCT....Just use and wash your hands well.
I first encountered Tiger Balm when I was traveling throughout Asia. I came down with a bad cold, and a pharmacist recommended putting Tiger Balm on my temples, nose, and chest. I thought, "Oh, Tiger Balm must be like Vicks Vaporub. True, it does many things that Vicks does---but that's only the jumping off point.
First of all, Tiger Balm smells fabulous. In addition to menthol and eucalyptus, it has other ingredients such as cloves and cinnamon. A friend described it as smelling like Christmas.
Tiger Balm is not only good for a cold, you can use it in so many ways. I rub a bit on my temples when I have a headaches, and it can really "turn down the volume" on the pain. It helps relieve the pain and stiffness when my back goes out of whack.
And I could never have survived a trip to Washington, DC without Tiger Balm. I walked so much that my feet became almost excruciatingly painful. I discovered that rubbing my feet down really well with Tiger Balm would make the pain vanish, at least until I walked few more miles.
I use this product to get me through the aches and muscle pulls of the martial arts program I have been in for 5 years. Good on bruises as well. Some people don't like the smell, but I will take the spicy-lemon smell over Ben Gay anytime.
When the pain from my arthritis flares, I need something that will help aleviate the pain without having to take an oral medication. Applying the Tiger Balm to my joints was extremely effective and it is an amazing product. I just wish it came in a larger jar!
Sometimes a little strategically applied Tiget Balm is the only thing that can get me to sleep when I have a really bad migraine. I apply it on my temples and brow and am able to get through it. Great for achy muscles and joints too.
Always keep this close by. My achy knees respond well to the ointment. Some days it's the only thing that makes sightseeing possible. This product has proven more theraputic then any of the rest of their line.
I was told about Tiger Balm by some of my Cambodian friends. I used it for minor headaches. I discovered that the aromatic properties where fantastic. I will use a very small amount under my nose when congested and it will allow me to breath, and get the sleep I need. I have a bottle at home, my overnight bag, and my camping first aid kit.
