My sisters and I have been using this product for years. We have medium to VERY long hair. And we use this product in may ways, but mostly for smoothing out hairstyles, such as simple to fancy ponytails. It is great for the edges of the hair as well as the ends (sealing). It is also great for getting your bangs to blend in with the longer parts of your hair. THIS PRODUCT IS NOT JUST FOR SHORT HAIR.

Also, it is not too greasy and its smell is not bad but also virtually impossible to detect over any other scents you might have on. Use small amounts and brush it through your hair (yes, even the longer parts) for a really smooth, even, clean look.

I have been using this product for 10 years strong and will never stop using it as long as it exists. This is only workable for short hair.. I'd say up to at most 2 inches long max, and that's pushing it. Once my hair stops listening to me while on this product then I know it's time for a cut.. it's magic!! This will hold your hair in any style you want if you know how to use it!! It's complex and intricate. You have to experiment and learn how to roll it the right way, the right speed, and the right amount of pressure. Otherwise, it'll get too heavy on the hair and weigh it down making it unmanageable and greasy. If done correctly, nothing can match it. It'll make your style soft, pliable and texturized. Believe me I've tried!! I shower twice daily and a single stick can last me up to two months so the price is definitely worthwhile. I don't mind the scent it's nothing special but no one has ever commented on it.. and if I ever smelled it on someone else I'd know exactly what it was.. it's that unique. It's also hard to wash out for some reason so I've learned to use the right shampoos to get it out the first time (instead of two or three washes with certain shampoos). I know this sounds so tedious but if you can learn to master this product the rewards are remarkable. I rarely go a week without someone complimenting my hair. They all ask me what I use and I recommend the stick hands down. Like nothing else out there. Buy it!!!

Smells bad. Like old soup. Have to push the stick back in with your fingers to put the cap back on. And it is very greasy. Too bad most of their products smell nice and work good. You could get the same result with a stick of cocoa butter for half the cost. And it rolls up and down.

I love this product. It so easy to use on my super short hair. May not be the best for those with longer hair, though. The only thing I would change is the smell. It's a gingery smell and I would much prefer something like coconut.

I gave this product to a male friend who wears his hair short and spikey. It works great for his needs. My hair is very long ,course and heavy. This product did not give me the lift I had expected.

I have short straight hair and this product gives it the ability to hold a style all day and evening. I apply it after washing my hair in the morning, then style my hair - I do not blow dry my hair - just towel dry hair, use the product and use my fingers to style the hair into a slightly "punky do" - and I'm good to go, to work, and afterwards to music rehearsal. To "refresh" - just use a dab of water on your fingertips and freshen the look. It's ab fab.

I LOVED this stuff back when my hair was super short. It is like flexible pomade, but with a scent that is not too masculine. I was almost sad to stop using it as my hair grew out and I needed other styling products.

I have used this product faithfully for about a year-and-a-half. I liked it best when I first cut my hair really short. But, one day, this guy I know told me my hair smelled like chicken sauce and I decided I didn't like this product anymore. In fact, even though this same person said it smelled nice (like ginger) I still didn't want to risk smelling like chicken. Now, I have longer hair, so I don't have to worry about it.

I love this product! My hairdresser has used this on my hair for about a year now to hold my style and it lasts for a couple of days without building up and leaving a nasty residue like most pomades. Just remember that a little goes a long way with this product.

I bought this product when I had short hair. I have fine textured, medium-thick hair. This product worked great for creating piecy looks and working on the ends. I liked that I didn't have to dip my hands into a greasy pot of pomade. When I grew my hair out, I found that it was a pain to apply to long hair. You have to use your fingers anyway so it defeated the purpose of the stick. Plus, the longer my hair got the more this stuff just weighed it down and didn't look good (to be expected with this type of product and my type of hair) -so I passed it on to my husband who keeps his hair short to medium. He loved it. Worked great for giving texture and "piece-iness" to his thick hair- kept it from looking like a poof ball. =) He liked the stick format compared to the traditional jar format also.
