Not bad, not great, not jazzed on the smell. Why do reconstructors always smell like bananas?
To the reviewer complaining about ALCOHOL - the alcohols in this product are not astringent or drying. They are fatty alcohols derived from coconut oil and similar sources. There is nothing astringent or drying in this product, but as a reonstructor, you must use it only a every few shampoos and alternate with a good moisturizer. Reconstructors are for strength, and overuse can make hair brittle. You need to also use a good moisturizer to give the hair flexibility.

This did nothing but make my hair smell like bananas..LOL! And I used the dumb blond poo as well.(My hair is thin/wavy) At first, it did leave my hair with a little bit of "shine"..well my blond highlights looked brighter--but that went away after using it 3xs; had to go buy hot oil treatment.
If you still insist on buying::
DO NOT use this everyday--only once a week. If you've got thick hair this will make your hair courser no matter how much; thin hair-- greasy...don't pile it on hair! My friends who have naturally straight hair like it as an every 2 wk treatment but they don't use it anymore.
Sometimes we mistake greasy residue for shine. And sometimes, the deep conditioners don't work. Personally,
I'm going to get something that has color glaze & a clear glosser.

Best stuff I have ever used on my blonde (thanks to my colorist) thick straight hair. Also I have a convertible & live at the beach and this product always gets my hair looking & feeling great after I have abused it.

WOW! I'd given up thinking a shampoo&conditioner could really revolutionize the health and manageability of my hair, but Dumb Blonde did! The conditioner is really thick and can weigh my hair down if I leave it in for a long time and on a daily basis. But otherwise, it's simply brilliant!

And in response to the reviewer who was confused about the "alcohols" on the label - "alcohol" isn't synonymous with "rubbing alcohol," which obviously can dehydrate. In chemistry, you learn that many alcohols are actually very emollient by their nature, and that's the reason they are in basically every conditioner, body lotion, baby soap, etc. The cetearyl alcohol in this conditioner is actually coconut oil.

amazing deep conditioner for very fine, highlighted/dry hair. never weighs my hair down, really moisturizes and detangles, and smells good! the only deep conditioner i always repurchase.

I really don't care so much about the fragrance of a product that I am purchasing when I am distraught about my fried, breaking hair! I used the shampoo and this supposed "reconstructor" to supposedly get the full benefit of Bed Head's supposed wonderfulness of it's product that has very high claims of being a wonder cure for my hair that is supposed to be transformed by consistant use. Well, I really must be a Dumb Blonde, because it took me a while of saying to myself...this stuff is making my hair more dry, and seemed more stripped of nutrients, and made my hair more tangled with condinued breakage...then, helllooo!!!, I read the ingredients...ALCOHOL is listed third AND FORTH after water (agua) ! So that's the answer! To be listed third and fourth means there is quite a saturation of alcohol in this product, and it can't help but not to dry your precious tresses. This also happened to me with a thermal protector (from hot flat irons, hair dryers, etc.), called L'anza Strait-Line Thermal Defense. Do these companies think the public is stupid? All I know is my hair's bad enuf let alone pouring alcohol on it and letting it sit on it 5-10 minutes! Sheesh! Start reading labels and ingredients, ladies !!!

This stuff does a good enough job as a deep conditioner, but the fruity tropical smell is absolutely overwhelming to me, and I'm generally not sensitive to product scent. If you can handle your hair continuing to smell like a can of tropical fruit cocktail for a few days, then go for it.

I was told over a year about this product from a co-worker. Ever since I bought my first tube, I've been hooked. I have very dry and over processed hair and I love how soft my hair feels after I use this. After washing my hair, I put this in my hair and while it has been in for a while, take a pic and comb through my hair to ensure my hair is detangled. Then I follow up with Cat Walk Fast Fix leave in Conditioner and I'm good to go. Anything that I've tried to use in between purchases has been an absolute waste of money. I'm hooked on this for life.

I love this conditioning treatment. It leaves my hair soft and shiny and kills the frizz. I do find that it does not detangle my hair at all, though, so I follow it with a daily conditioner for detangling.
