I've tried so many of these products that claim they can take care of your feet, and am always disappointed, regardless of whether it is inexpensive or not. This however works so amazingly well, I got one for my husband as well. He also loves it.

I have tried all kinds of pumice stones and creams and scrubs to get rid of dry, rough skin on the bottoms of my feet. This product has done the best job of them all. I have ordered this product several times - sometimes it comes with a plastic wrap that is very hard to remove (you end up taking off pieces of the product), but the last time I ordered it was wrapped in a plastic that came off with no problem - so hopefully they have fixed that issue. The product itself works for a long time, but does get moldy, so have to replace it pretty often. But it is worth it.

The only caveat with this product is you have to be sure and remove ALL the plastic coating it comes shrinkwrapped in. It's a little difficult to get it all off because it's almost like a skin, but if you don't the stone is worthless. That said, it is my everyday go to favorite foot maintenance tool. I'm fanatical about smooth feet and this does a great job. I keep it in the shower and use it with a little soap or body scrub on a daily basis; greatly extends time between pedicures.

I have had other pumice stones and they just get . . . well yucky and start to break, flake, etc.

I have to balance myself in a stand up shower and find that the angle to hold onto helps alot.

I do my own pedicures (salons are too expensive)and find that I will buy this again when the other one wears out.

I've had this for about 3 weeks now.

I have hard dry cracked feet (specially heels) for 15 years. Regular pumice stone was too rough and caused cutting by pulling too much skin. A nail brush alone was not enough. This product was a godsent. After 2 uses my feet are healed. If someone finds this product weak, they likely did not wet their feet first with warm water. Here is how I used the product. This is one of my top 5 all time favorite products ever!

Once you get it just do this:
(1) wash feet with warm soap and water
(2) wet sponge
(3) gently rub dry skin with the pumice sponge. Keep rubbing 3 plus minutes in one area until it feels smoother. I personally go by feel. Rub your good skin on your feet and notice the feeling. Then keep rubbing the rough skin until it feels the same. You may want to do the scrapping in two sessions. I did it in one.
(4) wash feet again with soap and water
(5) dry off feet
(6) apply ample vaseline to feet within 3 minutes of drying feet. Rub in vaseline, Put on socks if you plan to walk anytime soon. Otherwise just let vaseline soak in for 20 minutes, then wipe off excess with a towel
(7) Repeat as needed a couple times a week. I had dry cracked skin on my feet for 15 years. This fixed it in one treatment!

I bought this after reading all the reviews. Sadly, the product did not work at all for me. It did nothing to lessen, much less remove, the hard calluses I get on my heels and the edge of my big toe. I have used pumice stones for years and they far surpass this product. First it took about 2 hours to pick off all the plastic covering - which I had expected since I read the reviews. I ended up with lots of little divits in the product from having to dig at the plastic covering with my fingernails. I was excited to try it. My feet had been soaking in my warm tub for a 1/2 hour before trying the product. Sadly all I got was a large rut down the middle of the product where I rubbed it on my heels. My heels just rubbed away the material. My heels didn't change one iota. I'm disappointed and won't buy this again.

I bought this item based on the reviews, and I liked it at first. It was larger than I expected, and I wish I had a choice of color (mine was bright orange), but it did a decent job on the rough skin on my feet.

One thing I did want to mention, though it may not be a problem for everyone, is that after a few months the sponge got moldy. I couldn't find an effective way of cleaning it, so I had to throw it away. Now, I do live in an older building with poor ventilation in the bathroom; other people may not have this problem. I wanted to mention it just in case, however, for anyone who might be in a similar situation. I have used other products in the past that have not had the same problem, so I'm off to look for something else.

It's not really a sponge in the traditional sense but more like a durable styrofoam material similar to what flower arrangements come in. I have very dry, scaley legs and have tried everything to remove the dead stuff. This sponge works well to remove the dry skin on my legs without irritating them. It works much better than any exfoliating wash for sure. I'm so glad I found this product! I will definately buy it again.

Works nicely and good price. You must take care to peel off all of the shrink wrap which is hard to see and remove.
