I originally began buying their toothpaste because I didn't like the idea of using something with animal ingredients to clean my teeth. I was surprised when I first used their toothpaste because of the flavor. Because it doesn't have artificial flavoring, it isn't quite as "flavored" as you might expect. It doesn't really have much of a flavor so that can take some getting used to but I adjusted quickly. Besides the lack of animal ingredients and the natural-ness of this toothpaste, I love the clean feeling you get after using it. Since I used this toothpaste, using a "normal" toothpaste seems to result in a "fake" clean feeling while this one seems to have a genuine clean feeling after a brushing. I am not sure how well this cleans or whitens teeth but I am assuming it works just as well as any toothpaste, if not better. I plan on buying this toothpaste again and again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a toothpaste that provides a genuine clean feeling after a brushing. I strayed from natural products since then. Recently I've been clearing out chemical products and transitioning back to green. I like this toothpaste because it cleans thoroughly and doesn't leave an aftertaste. Tastes like baking soda with a hint of spearmint. Foams well and it's not overpowering. I miss the old fashioned tubes, but this style is less messy. Another solid product from Tom's.  Pros

Whitening agents are abrasive and not recommended by my dentist because they can harm enamel. So I just want a fluoride toothpaste that won't taste like artificial sweeteners which make me gag. Pros

I still prefer the old tube which made it a bit harder of my 3 year old to squeeze thereby limiting how much he "ate", but I am much happier with the spearmint than the other flavors. A bit disappointed that TOMS changed this to a fluoride product. I liked the choice of fluoride free. Overall, it is good to have found it agin and only on drugstore.com Pros

My only complaint would be the escalating price, which only seems to have gotten worse since the company was sold. It still cleans better, tastes better, etc. than any other brand I have tried.
