General body odor is not a problem for me. I don't mind perspiring naturally and avoid anti-perspirants, which doesn't leave much of a selection. I don't like scented deodorants.
When a deodorant fails to give any protection at all, I give it the boot immediately, because my need is easy to control. Booted this one.

I think the product is just too waxy for me, and I could swear it makes me sweat more than I normally would. I'm in Texas--VERY hot and humid---and this product just makes things worse.

Tom's of Main Odorless Deodorant is the best I've found for several reasons...

Antiperspirants may be unhealthy because they inhibit the natural behavior of our sweat glands. This possibility concerns me, so I choose to avoid them and use a simple deodorant instead.

Most anti-perspirants and deodorants contain aluminum as an active ingredient. Studies have show aluminum may cause damage to the body and brain. Tom's of Maine is one of the few companies who produce products for people sensitive to these claims. (I use their toothpaste because I have a bad reaction to artificial sweeteners such as aspartame and Nutrasweet used in Crest, Colgate, etc.)

It is true this deodorant goes on a bit oily, but I simply wipe with a paper towel and it is perfectly dry and won't stain my clothes. I cannot say how well it works for women who shave their arm pits.

If you find Tom's Deodorant does not keep you odor free all day, then you may need something stronger. However, you also risk side-effects of stronger, unnatural chemicals. I prefer to simply re-apply when needed.

This product burned when i applied it, and after only a few weeks, discolored my underarms. Now that it is summer, i am self-conscious about raising my arms as these patches are large and obvious. I have purchased and am using a skin lightening gel, but it has only lightened the affected areas a little - still quite obvious.

Has worked great for me for years! Every once in a while, I'll be lured by other natural brands that are on sale, but they don't work at all for me. So, I think these natural deodorants work a bit differently with each person's body chemistry. Unfortunately, you just have to experiment. This one is a bit messier going on, but the results are worth it for me.

I have been using this product for YEARS; I have tried them all and refuse to use any other! Truly keeps odors away. And, there have been times where I will go a couple of days (due to circumstances beyond my control). without having to re-apply and I am STILL ODOR-FREE!!!! My (older) children use it as well. I trust Tom's products. This is my favorite!! Thank you.

P.S. Only improvement I would suggest is somehow creating a formula to NOT turn the under arms of WHITE TEE shirts a hue of yellow. So far, it comes out in the wash. :o)

The natural products in this stick are much easier on the skin than other commerical products. It isn't quite as long-lasting, but the lack of irrritation is worth it.

Even when i (purposely) SKIP a day putting deodorant. on, it (really does!!!) STILL WORK!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! And, now I have my daughter using it!! xoxoxo
