This is the only brand I use. Until they quit making Cavity Protection Wintermint flavor. I have had to switch to Sensitive Wintermint which does not make me happy but as long as they continue to make the Wintermint flavor I will be happy. I like this flavor out of necessity because it's the only one that doesn't break out my mouth. My allergist recommended it to me many years ago.

Could not find this locally so decided to give it a try as I've tired other brands for sensitive teeth which always left my teeth and mouth feeling overly zinged by the ingredients. I was very pleasantly surprised from the moment I tried it Tom's. Not harsh, very gentle and very good flavor. It really felt like a "natural" product opposed to being filled with chemicals.

I love the taste! Not too minty! I am a "health nut" from the 70's (when healthy and recycling was considered strange behavior) and LOVE the example of Tom's to be as natural and responsible as possible in this day and age. I was having trouble with my thyroid. Dry, flaky skin, lack-luster, thinning hair and brittle nails. (Along with weight gain.) I found after doing some detective work that one of the biggest problems for many people world-wide is the lack of Iodine in our diets and that fluoride will leach Iodine from our bodies. This is a real problem since our bodies and especially our thyroid needs Iodine to work properly. I went looking and found Tom's! Thank you! Thank you! I will use this toothpaste for the rest of my life. I do take an Iodine/Iodide supplement but, Tom's has REALLY helped make a difference.

Honestly, my concern doesn't regard flouride. I have sensitive teeth and I need something that actually works effectively and consistently, and it has to actually clean my mouth while doing it. There are only two brands I've ever found that do the job right -- a popular "name" brand and Tom's of Maine. Between the two of them, I feel a lot better about what I'm using when it's Tom's of Maine on my toothbrush.

For the last 25 years, I cannot use fluoride (makes my face break out). I constantly search for fluoride-free toothpaste that tastes good-- a long and arduous search. Now that I am getting older, I also have teeth sensitive to heat and cold. Tom's Fluoride-Free for Sensitive teeth is the answer to a prayer. No fluoride; helps de-sensitize my teeth; tastes good. And Drugstore.com is the ONLY place I can find it. I can't recommend this product enough!

I wanted to avoid fluoride so tried this product instead of the proven-to-work big name paste.

After two days, there was no improvement to my tooth sensitivity.

On the third day, the mint paste itself caused deep horrible pain in the tooth. Thinking it was a fluke, I tried it later in the day. Same thing. And the tooth bothered me more for the rest of the day even without any cold or food touching it. For my third brushing, I used the big name paste and had no pain reaction.

On the fourth day, after using the big name paste three times total, the pain was almost gone.

I'll stick with the big name product from now on.
