The taste took me off guard. Not sweet peppermint but natural peppermint. We've too long associated peppermint with the sweet sugar stuff. After I got used to the taste, I like using it. I can tell a complete difference with the tartar control. I actually brush longer because it doesn't cause my mouth to water up and spill over. Rinse well afterward. I must rinse (with water) up to 5 times to get the taste out of my mouth, but I've noticed my taste buds seems to be able to taste flavor better since I've been using it. I've only used it a few days, so I can't say much about the whitening part. I'll post again if I notice a major change.

I got a sample with one of my drugstore.com orders. and I LOVE it. it's the best toothpaste i've ever used. (Better than Kiss my face, and better than another Tom's baking soda toothpaste I tried years ago that tasted aweful!) It tastes really great and natural, and I like the fact it does have fluoride which prevents cavities. I will buy this over and over again!

it works ok.
but i like the regular Tom's of Maine better.
this "whole care" has a funny long lasting after taste that i don't care for at all. but YMMV
so i'm going back to the regular one.

Left film on teeth that required re-brushing. Felt just like the standard tarter-control toothpaste film.

LOVE IT! It doesn't have detergents in it, so I can brush my teeth and have a glass of OJ immediately afterward without the bitter aftertaste. It doesn't foam, so that means less drip-drips on my clothes. I wish they made it in a travel size. I'm almost tempted to save an old travel sized Crest tube and fill it with Tom's!

This toothpaste is awesome! I decided to switch all of my personal care products to organic and natural, after probably reading too many stories on the internet about the horrible stuff used in most products! I was really pleasantly surprised by this toothpaste -- first, it tastes great and keeps my mouth feeling clean for a long time after using it. The texture is very smooth (not gritty), and it foams up really well. I actually find myself brushing longer than I usually did, just because I like the toothpaste so much. I highly recommend this, even if "natural" isn't your top priority and you're just looking for a good t-paste!
