My husband sold this soap in the 70s and my mother-in-law raved about it. Oddly, I had no interest in using it. Fast forward to 2012. I found it at the local dollar store and thought I would try it. At first I was very happy with it but after about a week, my face began breaking out (I am almost 60) so I stopped using it on my face. I used it in my shower and it seemed to moisturize well. So I would recommend but advise caution if you have sensitive or acne-prone skin.

This is our go to shower soap. It leaves no residue. The local market stopped carrying it and I really didn't want to go to [@]. Smells good and doesn't leave a soapy sheen.

I love this bar soap, non-drying and no overwhelming perfume smell. Been using this product for OVER 25 years and have not discovered a better product! The stores in my area do not carry this soap so must order via internet, best price at drugstore.com!

I use this bar soap daily in the shower. As someone prone to dry skin on the body, I tend to look for soap that advertises its moisturizing capabilities (e.g. Dove, et al.) and this is the best I've ever found, I've been using it for years and only buy other brands when I cannot find it in the drugstore. It lathers well and doesn't leave a residue, leaving you feeling clean, but not coated in something drying.

This was the weirdest soap I ever tried. Thankfully it was cheap and I don't feel that guilty, wasteful feeling in my gut for pitching it after using it a week. The smell was so not good. I could not get the stuff to rinse off me without practically taking a scouring pad to my arms. The smell clung to me. Reminded me of mushrooms that have been sitting in the crisper a bit too long. I didn't try this on my face because I couldn't bear the thought of it that close to my nose, so I can't comment on it's effect on my complexion. Just plain weird. Give it a good sniff through the package before you buy to make sure it suits you.

I've been using Tone for years (over 10). It smells so good and cleans with a wonderful lather, never leaving my skin feeling tight or drawn. I never even think of trying any other soap. I gave a bar to a friend to try and now she uses it exclusively! IMHO, there is no better beauty bar.
