With all of the concern over lead containing toys made in other countries, many parents are choosing to buy American.  That’s definitely a responsible parenting choice, but it’s also good for our economy.  Here are some of our favorite toys and games that are made in the good old United States of America.

Crayola is a great American brand that kids love!  Coloring and making art projects definitely bring out the creativity in kids and help them express themselves.  Plus, they’re just plain fun for kids and adults!

Thomas the Tank Engine Puzzle is still a big hit with kids these days.  A Day Out With Thomas Game involves spending a day having fun around the railway station.  And unlike past Thomas products that were recalled, this game is made in America and is lead free.

I Spy has always been a fun road trip game, but now there are variations on the old favorite.  I Spy Word Scramble involves choosing a picture card and then unscrambling letters in your game board to describe the picture.  You can be as creative as you want – for example using the letters M-E-O-W if your picture card has a cat on it.  There’s also I Spy Eagle, where you get a card with pictures of items and you must match those items with pictures on your game board.  Whoever spots the most items wins!  And then there’s I Spy 3D where you get to put on 3D glasses and find floating items.

KNex is an updated version of Lincoln Logs and their building sets are a blast for kids and parents.  With the 250 Piece Value Tub, you can build anything your imagination can come up with – robots, cars, monsters, etc.

The Dinosaurs Extinct? Game lets you play the part of your favorite dinosaur and survive wild adventures, trying to survive into the 21st century.  This game is a must for any dinosaur lover or those who just love a thrill.

There are plenty of toys and games made in the USA that will provide fun for the whole family and keep kids safe.  Good solid construction mixed with American values definitely make for top quality fun.
