It both defined & held my natural curls without that stiff, sprayed appearance. Use SPARINGLY--too much & your hair will get a case of those dreaded "crunchies". I was about to give up on sprays of this type, since they always gave me that awful plastic look, & when used sparingly, didn't work at all. This product, however, made the grade. If you need to apply to a smaller section of hair, such as the curls that might fall around your face when the bulk of your hair is in a barrette or something, dispense product into your hand 1st, then scrunch into hair. Yes, that'll make your hand sticky, but better to have a sticky hand that you can easily cleanse with soap & water, than to have sticky icky hair. I was able to curl my hair but I could not run my fingers thru the curls or comb or brush them. because they were so hard. The only thing I could do is leave them alone or wet my hair. Using this product with my heated rollers gives me just enough bend at the ends to get the style I like. I especially like that you apply this to dry hair since I do not wash my hair daily.

Unfortunately, this product is way too strong and in fact glued my hair together. Trying to comb or brush it out was painful, uncomfortable and I lost way too much hair in the process. I will never buy this product again.

Comments about TRESemme Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray, 8 fl oz: On dry hair: my hair is fine, has uneven wave & body, I brush and style with blow dryer (I don't straighten), then I mist with this product and scrunch a bit and it gives loose waves and hold without weighing down, almost like using a a soft hair spray to style, creates body, texture and hold, soft gloss.. Use on damp hair: with a diffuser or scrunch with your hand while blow drying, creates waves esp. on damp days..This works like no other product, hard to find in stores, even though it sprays like a pump hairspray. Spray on dry hair one section at a time and use a waving iron or curling iron and the curls or waves STICK. This is a two day hairstyle for me.
