This might work for those with seriously dry, damaged hair, but I have oily, thin hair. This made my hair look stringy & greasy. This is not a dry shampoo, it's a foam which made my hair sticky on top of everything else.

Do yourself a favor and try Batiste!!!!

I really hoped this would work to freshen my hair as I have a chronic illness and have trouble washing my hair. It is very easy to use and works quickly, but within a few hours my hair was greasy rather than refreshed. I hope that TRESemme will continue to work on this product to improve because the concept is just what I'm looking for. In the meantime, I'd recommend the TRESemme refreshing mist over this product. The mist really works to refresh hair.

I had high hopes for this product because a friend with curlier hair than my own had great results. (I complimented her on her hair one day and she mentioned she had used this product instead of washing it that day.)

While the instructions made it seem harder to use than if it were just a mousse or powder, I found that it doesn't really take more time to pat it dry with a towel, and my hair doesn't stay wet as if it were just washed or spritzed with water. It also doesn't leave any residue or whiteness, like some other dry shampoo products. I was very happy about that.

The smell doesn't bother me at all, as some reviewers mentioned. I find it fresh and pleasant. The product is light and not at all greasy or oily. Afterward it just feels as if I had conditioned my hair.

The product does seem to help control oil around my scalp, and to "freshen" and soften the ends of my hair a bit. It also seems to give some spring back to my waves (much like a fresh wash would) - and this is one of the biggest pros of the product, I think. I have to use a little more product if I really want the waves to look nice, though - otherwise they're sort of unbalanced...but that's mostly due to my own hair type/texture.

I really think this is a good alternative to a fresh shampoo, but it may work better for curls than for waves. I've only used it 3 times, but I expect that my results will only get better with experience with this product.

This is a waste of money!! It made my hair greasy. Bottom line, this is a bad product unless you want greasy hair.

I have been using this product for about a year now. It is definitely not for people with extremely oily hair. I use it because if I shower and wash my hair every day my skin and hair dries out. People gave negative reviews like they wanted this to give them "freshly washed" hair. It doesn't do that--it couldn't. It is best for when you're going to put your hair up because your hair won't be as "touchable" when it's dirty and has product in it. It makes my hair smell nice even when I haven't washed it for two days (and I run and get sweaty every day) and makes it appear clean and not oily.

I have tried every single instant shampoo on the market. The overwhelming majority have powder to absorb. It can't be helped. It leaves powder behind. They are basically the same. Except this one. It is not only better, it's a totally different formula. No powder. I don't know how they do it. It leaves hair absolutely clean. It's very close to washing. I'll never us anything else. AND it's inexpensive!

I'm wheelchair bound and only get to shower once a week but my hair gets dirty in between showers. I have tried many hospital type dry shampoos and was thrilled when I saw the TRESemme FreshStart commercial on TV. While nothing can replace a good ole shampooing in the shower with running water, this product is a decent substitute. No, your hair will not look as good as if you just stepped out of the shower, but it will definitely FEEL better and SMELL better.

If I could shower every day I would not use this product; but if you CAN'T get in the shower or don't have access to water, this will help!

If you need to freshen up your hair, this is a great and easy product. I have used many different ones, and this, by far is my favorite. Hair smells clean, it removes oils and dirt quickly and easily. Highly recommend

I was excited to try this product for days when I just want to freshen up but not wash/dry my hair. But this is not the answer.

First, it smells bad. Second, it left clumps of white flakes EVERYWHERE, my hair, my clothes, my brush, my bathroom counter.... Third, it does not work. My hair looked very clumped up and greasy even after I used it even though I followed the directions to the T.

I honestly could not find ONE pro, or understand why anyone would buy this. I'm shocked that there are any positive reviews.

Not something I would recommend to my enemy, let alone a friend.

I am in love with this product. It leaves my hair fluffy and manageble plus it smells great. I could gush for hours! Those of you who did not care for this product might like the spray version better. I tried both and the foam works best for me. My hair is very thick, coarse and wavy.
