My husband picked this up for me at the store because I had tried another moisture shampoo recently and noticed that it really helped my hair. I have thin hair, but a lot of it (people tend to mistakenly think I have thick hair) and I've always used volumizing shampoo & conditioner on my hair. Lately though, I've noticed they were completely ineffective on my hair. I tried a cheap moisture shampoo & conditioner and voila! I have fuller hair! So, when my husband saw this on sale at the store, he bought some for me. It smells great, makes my hair shiny and fuller-love it!

After reading the other reviews, I think that this shampoo works on certain hair types only. I have thin hair, but lots of it so people mistakenly think I have thick hair all the time.

Anyway, I used to use volumizing shampoo but it's not working on my hair anymore for some odd reason. I switched to moisturizing shampoo and voila, my hair is volumized! I'm speculating that this shampoo is only for those with midly dry hair. If you have seriously damaged or dry hair, you probably need to get a good trim/cut and visit a hairstylist to get some advice on how to take care of your hair instead of relying on shampoo and conditioner to fix the problem.

I've used this product for 20+ years. I have very oily hair that no other shampoo could help. This shampoo gets my hair CLEAN. I recommend it to anyone who has oily hair.

My european-born wife won't use any other shampoo (or the matching conditioner). She tried many other shampoos and conditioners and Tressomme is the one that leaves her long hair soft, shiny and manageable. She has very dry baby-fine hair (although she has a lot of hair, each hair is very thin) - and is not a person who has oily skin. Her hair is also not damaged by coloring or other chemicals like chlorine or permanents.

I'm Native American with oily skin and keep my hair tradish (long and braided)... for my thick VERY straight hair and oily scalp this shampoo is not be a good choice.

I have very long, thick, coarse, wavy hair. I use this shampoo from the neck up only and a separate conditioner on the rest of my hair. It cleans effectively without drying out my hair and leaves it shiny and soft. It doesn't irritate my sensitive scalp. It has a light, floral/fruity scent that I love. It is thinner than some shampoos that I've used, which is great because it makes it easier to spread through the hair without using a ton. I would highly recommend this to anyone with hair like mine or a sensitive scalp and will be very disappointed if Tresemme ever reformulates it.

I don't understand why how some people can give this shampoo a good review. It dries my hair out and makes it frizzy and heavy.. and I am wondering if it works better for African-American hair because I have heard from some of my friends that it works great for them. I ended up having to rescue my hair with an intense Herbal Essence conditioner. I couldn't recommended it to anyone with long straight hair like mine.

This did nothing, it didn't moisturize or soften my extremely dry hair. This is worthless.

I love TreSemme. I have tried plenty of shampoo, but I gotta admit TreSemme worked the best. Best of all I'm a African American so that makes it even more fantastic. I get so many compliments on how healthy my hair looks as well as how much body I have to it. You don't find too many African Americans that uses shampoos that are labeled as white girl shampoos. Itz all on what course of hair you have I suppose. Well for the makers of TreSemme Great Job! keep up the great work...Love it:-)

the first time i used tresemme i was happy, but after a day i noticed my hair was greasy, so i washed it.The next day i washed it once again, next thing i know my whole forehead is full of acne caused by this "marvelous" shampoo. Thanx Tresemme
