The nozzle was problematic - wound up emptying contents into a different container. Was hoping for a less frizzy/fried look but not seeing a big diff. Hair does look shinier when it finally straightens out.

I was skeptical of using this product, as I am not a fan of the TRESemme line of hair products. But I gave it a shot after reading the great reviews for it. I am so glad that I did!

I have been using high-end products on my hair for over a year now (Moroccan oil, macadamia oil (entire line), NuMe (entire line), etc.) and I was happy with the softness and general health of my hair. But, when I added the TRESemme heat protector spray to my arsenal, I arrived at perfection! My hair is so much softer and the ends of my long, color-treated hair remain healthier in between trims.

This product is a must for anyone using heat products on their hair. I spray my hair all over with it while it is wet and then blow dry. Additionally, I spray each section of my hair before I straighten or curl it with an iron. On day two, I spray again before using my heated instruments and my hair does not get oily or greasy.

When I sprayed it on my hair it made my hair curly but when I added the heat it straighten perfectly.

I have fine, very straight long hair that normally won't hold curl for very long. I started using the heat tamer on my dry hair before using the curling iron and I have found it helps hold the curl for not just one day but even overnight so the style actually is great for the next day! If you've got fine hair and are looking for something to hold the style, Tresemme Heat Tamer might be just what you are looking for.

This spray is perfect--I have naturally very thick, straight-borderline-wavy hair that can get poufy if I try to straighten it. This spray controls my frizz without trying to straighten my hair (unlike John Frieda Frizz-Ease). It smells great and is very lightweight! My only recommendation is that, if you tend to get greasy roots, spray only the bottom half of your hair.

The concept is great, as I wished we'd had more variety of conditioners, detanglers, and heat protectants when I was growing up. I have fine, thin, otherwise lifeless locks, and it would have been nice not to have to deal with heavy, traditional shower conditioner. I use a light leave in spray conditioner and when I'm going to blow dry, I've started using a heat protect spray alongside my volumizing mousse. I purchased this after reading reviews and watching related YT videos. Everyone had something pretty positive to say about the product, especially when comparing it to similar ones. My opinion - it's an ok product that I believe does what it promises. But for me, it's at a price. The downfall with the Tresemme Thermal Heat Tamer is that it leaves this teflon like residue in my hair. I like the bottle style with the sprayer. I follow the directions and spray before I blow dry or heat style. I end up with shiny, healthy looking hair, but I can feel this texture that also lingers on any surface within the vicinity of where I misted beforehand. And by the end of the day or next morning my hair takes on an oily sheen and is weighed down. Thus, it's ok. I've found very similar products since with the same price point that do not leave this weird residue and do an equal if not better job protecting even into my 2nd day.

I learned about this product from a friend when she did my hair - her hair was about waist-long, thick, wavy hair, and she tended to straighten it almost daily - but her hair wasn't damaged, and it was never frizzy, even on rainy days.

So while she was curling my hair for a dance competition, she pulled out this spray and spritzed me down - light, easy, not heavy, and set to work. I warned her how my hair never holds curls, even when they're done professionally, but these lasted me all night, and into the next morning - with no hair spray. Either she's got the magic touch, or this spray is simply a miracle worker.

Either way, this product left my hair soft, shiny, smooth, and frizz-free - I use it now when I straighten my hair, as I've got those few stubborn sections that want to curl while the rest of my hair is straight. I have never had a problem with this product, and it has kept me from the usual split-end damage I usually get when I use heat on my hair. Definitely recommend this to anyone who styles their hair frequently.
