Chemical Name: TRIAMCINOLONE (trye-am-SIN-oh-lone)
Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Paste is a corticosteroid in a dental paste used to relieve irritation, pain, and redness of the mouth or gums.
INFORM YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical conditions or allergies.
Use Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Paste exactly as directed by your doctor. IF POSSIBLE CLEAN AND RINSE YOUR MOUTH before applying Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Paste. GENTLY DAB the medicine onto the lesion until the paste forms a thin layer that sticks to the affected area. DO NOT RUB. Apply Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Paste after meals. STORE TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE at room temperature, away from heat and light. Keep the container tightly closed. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE, apply it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
IF YOUR SYMPTOMS DO NOT IMPROVE within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor. DO NOT USE TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE for future mouth problems without checking with your doctor. FOR WOMEN: IF YOU PLAN ON BECOMING PREGNANT, discuss with your doctor the benefits and risks of using Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Paste during pregnancy. IT IS UNKNOWN IF TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE IS EXCRETED in breast milk. IF YOU ARE OR WILL BE BREAST-FEEDING while you are using Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.1% Paste, check with your doctor or pharmacist to discuss the risks to your baby.
A SIDE EFFECT that may go away during treatment is burning. If it continues or is bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if irritation, redness, or swelling increase after you begin using the medicine. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. DO NOT SHARE TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE for other health conditions. KEEP TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE 0.1% PASTE out of the reach of children.
