While Tronolane is a great product when used for that area for which it was intended, it is also a fantastic product for use on ANY area (except inside your mouth) where you have an itchy rash. I recently had a bad reaction to an oral medication that caused a horribly itchy rash on the top of my foot and ankle. It was one of those burning, painful rashes that woke me up during the night and covered my sheets with blood from scratching it while sleeping. Nothing, NOTHING was working...not hydrocortisone, not Neosporin, not even Lidocaine solution. Even Benadryl was having little effect. The rash was driving me insane and because it was caused by an oral medication the only thing I could do was wait until it was out of my system. Finally, after trying every cream in the house, desperation caused me to try the Tronolane. I rubbed in just a bit and felt relief so I just slathered it on, blocking off the air to the rash. It was soooo soothing and lasted all night. The rash took nearly a week to go away and the Tronolane with the Benadryl made that week bearable. I couldn't find any Tronolane at the drugstore so I ordered several tubes here. Believe me, my bathroom will NEVER be without it again.

WARNING: THIS PRODUCT MAY BURN YOU AS IT DID ME. Hoping to at least dull the pain of some external (non-bleeding) hemorrhoids, I used the cream as directed - except I only applied it externally and didn't use the supplied internal applicator, THANK GOD. I don't even want to think about what would've happened if I had, since I received an external chemical burn as it is! Since I've never had particularly sensitive skin, I thought I'd better warn potential consumers that this could also happen to you.

A retired Pharmacist told me about this ointment & said unlike so many others it doesn't burn , is soothing, & doesn't stain your clothing or bedding--all was 100% correct--he KNEW what he was talking about.Have had trouble finding this product for last few yrs but SO GLAD to have located it @ drug store.com--they r GR8 & so is this product

If you have sensitive skin beware! First night it was great, second night I woke up to more burning and stinging then I had before, luckily I had also bought an all natural product that calmed things down again.

I have been using this product for over 7 years. It is no BS and simply works. No odor, not oily, no mess. I've tried nearly every product on the market and nothing even comes close to the quality and effectiveness of this product. If they ever stop making it I don't know what I would do... break out my home chemistry kit and try to make my own i suppose.
Apply externally to the affected area up to five times daily.
When practical, cleanse the affected area with mild soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly.
Gently dry by patting or blotting with toilet tissue or a soft cloth before application of this product.
To use applicator - Remove cap from tube and attach applicator. Gently squeeze tube to apply. Thoroughly cleanse applicator after use. See package insert for complete directions for use.
