Indications
Antacid: For fast relief of acid indigestion, heartburn, sour stomach and upset stomach associated with these symptoms. Neutralizes excess stomach acid to give fast relief. Non-laxative, non-constipating.
Calcium Supplement: Use as a daily source of extra calcium.
Drug Interaction Precautions
Antacid: Antacids may interact with certain prescription drugs. If you are presently taking a prescription drug, do not take this product without checking with your physician or other health professional.
Warnings
Antacid: Do not take more than 10 tablets in a 24 hour period or use the maximum dosage of this product for more than two weeks, except under the advice and supervision of a physician. If symptoms persist for two weeks, stop using this product and see a physician.
Keep this and all drugs out of the reach of children.

Tums EX is useful to control phosphorous for ESRD (end stage renal disease) patients. I found 2 to 3 EX tums are useful. Patients with Calcium problems should consult your renologist or nutrition worker. 750 mg EX tums, 2 or 3 per meal work well. I prefer using one flavor (Wintergreen in my case) do the job. Generic CaCO3 tablets work. Less expensive than pharmecological products.
