Comments about Tweezerman Safety Slide Callus Shaver & Rasp, 1 ea:

This is the very best callus removal tool I've ever used and I've been removing calluses from my feet for more than 60 years. I've read the other reviews, here, and suspect that one reviewer didn't realize there is what I will call an up-side and a down-side to blade placement. Look at the blade bed carefully. The top side has greater length than the bottom side. Tweezerman blades do extend about 1/16th of an inch over the bottom edge of the bed. That's more than enough to pare down the thickest of calluses. The other reviewer, and there have been only two reviews before mine, can't get the placement she needs. I haven't experienced that problem. I use the tool to thin bunionettes on the outer sides of my feet. They form from my not getting enough arch support. They can be hard as a rock. I pare layer after layer until my feet feel free. Sometimes I thin the edges of the bunionette areas with a very inexpensive battery-powered abrasive tool. I have no problem getting the Tweezerman shaver up and under my little toes. It works especially well for me. I also remove calloused skin, formed by rubbing, over and around a major bunion on one foot. This is tricky business. Callus forms on the edge of my foot and on my big toe. I have post-stroke limited feeling in that foot, and I have diabetes, and am on blood thinner. I must be very careful not to pare too much and wound myself. I am careful. I see a podiatrist, but only once every nine weeks. My callus problems build up about every two weeks. If I don't remove the build-up, it hurts to walk, or even rest the bunioned foot in bed. It is recommended NOT to do what I do; nonetheless, I highly recommend the tool, and thank the "Tweezermen" for refining this tool to do the very good job it does. I am in no way associated with Tweezerman except as a loyal customer.

Comments about Tweezerman Safety Slide Callus Shaver & Rasp, 1 ea:

This is the first callous shaver I have used. I never had issues with callous, but in recent years especially in summer I tend to get a lot of callous. I use this shaver to shave. It does shave a lot of the callous and is very safe. However, the blade keeps slipping, and it doesn't reach the area between or close to the toes due to its shape. Overall it doesn't get to the hardest hit areas. Also, it doesn't do as good a job as the podiatrist - my podiatrist removed callous using a blade and did such a fabulous job that it was that way for months. This one continuously needs work. I just wish it would get into areas closer to my toes because those portions have the most skin. I am still searching for the right product.

Comments about Tweezerman Safety Slide Callus Shaver & Rasp, 1 ea:

This callus shaver doesn't allow for enough of the blade to be exposed to function at its intended purpose. In other words, it's so safe that it does not shave! The rasp is also useless.
I will have to go back to my old one. I was hoping to use this as a traveling tool but it isn't possible. Do not waste your money on this product.
