I needed a liquid calcium supplement for my 4-year-old tube fed grandson. He gets Phenobarbital to control seizures and his nutritionist said that this drug depletes some of the calcium and he needed a liquid supplement to replace what he looses or give him skim milk. I found this product and it works great with his feeding tube plus I don't have to give him 4 ozs of skim milk in addition to his regular PediaSure feeds.

Great for those who can't have dairy!

Our son can not have Casein, a milk protein.
Plus with the Autism he has to have liquid to swallow. We have used this Cal-Quick for over a year with great results! Great Peppermint taste, a little gritty, but that is to be expected. And if you don't keep it shaken daily it will solidify in the bottom of the bottle. Great product! We haven't found anything else to come close to providing his calcium needs with his dietary problems. We use a liquid medicine syringe so it is easier for him to take. Out of a medicine cup it is a little to thick for our little guy.
There are other liquid calcium products, but since he already takes a multi-vitamin, the others have to much magnesium. This one is just perfect!

For adults and children over 4 years of age, take 2 teaspoonfuls daily, after a meal. For post menopausal women, pregnant or lactating women, take 3 teaspoonfuls daily, after a meal. For children under 4 years of age, take 1 teaspoonful daily, after a meal. May be taken undiluted or mixed with fruit juice.

Shake well before using. Refrigeration is not required. Keep tightly closed in a cool, dry place. Best if used by date shown on bottle.
