These enzymes control my heartburn as well as prescription medicine did. I take one after breakfast and lunch and two after dinner. As long as I don't overindulge, I am pain free through the night. At age 39, I saw a doctor for chest pain and was diagnosed with GERD. The doctor prescribed a prescription drug which I took for diagnostic purposes for 2 weeks. The pain went away so it was definitely reflux but I wanted a different solution than prescription drugs. Shutting down stomach acid didn't make logical sense to me. Seems we would need those acids to digest things. My mom has used the Twinlab Super Enzyme Caps for years so I tried them. I take one after breakfast, one after lunch, and two after dinner. They were just as effective as the prescription drugs in preventing pain. After 2 months I hoped things had stabilized and decided not to order more to see how I did. The pain returned, especially at night. My experiment showed that these enzymes are definitely helping keep my reflux under control. Seems like a much more natural solution, which I'm grateful for.

I usually take this supplement three times a day. I am allergic to all dairy and corn products. I find it is impossible to completely avoid foods that give me gas and intestinal upset, so I take the enzymes before or after eating to prevent these symptoms. I have been using them for over ten years now. I have tried other products, but always come back to Super Enzymes. They do have an old fish smell when you open the bottle, but that is negligable compared to how much they help me!!

This product has a very bad smell.SO bad I could not continue to take it. I contacted the manufacture company Twin Labs, and they claim that due to the "natural ingredients" in the product that it was normal. I thought it smelled like urine, so I had to return it. Too Bad, I had high hopes for this product to help my digestion improve, but no go.
