Making Good Tea Since 1903
In 1903, John Sumner first created Ty-phoo Tea for his sister, Mary Augusta, in his Birmingham grocer's shop. His simple aim was to make sure nothing got in the way of creating the best tasting tea at the very best value, and perhaps try to put something back into the community.
Ty-phoo Sports for All
We still adopt the same values and beliefs today, which is why we've teamed up with the Federation of Disability Sport to develop the Ty-phoo Sports for All project.
The project provides training to community sports club coaches, giving them the skills to include disabled people the opportunity to take part in the sports and games they love.
This year, every pack you buy will help us to train at least an additional 500 community-based coaches across the United Kingdom. So every time you make a cuppa, you'll help us to make a difference too.
It's in the oo's
Our tea is bursting with millions of tiny little oo's, which means that you get a great-tasting cup of tea every time! It's also a natural source of antioxidants. This product is a delicious blend of the finest quality teas, and nothing else.
We are passionate about trading ethically and back in 1992, we launched our own ethical tea sourcing procedure-integrated QAP (Quality Assurance Programme). We work in partnership with the tea plantations that we buy from to continually improve the conditions of the people who grow, harvest, and process our tea.
All packaging is recyclable where facilities exist.
