Use UNISOL 4 solution only to rinse your lenses after cleaning before heat disinfection. After the lenses have been disinfected, they are ready for wear without additional rinsing. If you need to remove a lens to clean or wet it and replace it on your eye, use a product specifically indicated for this purpose.

For your protection: This one piece container should not be used if any leaks are present prior to opening. Leaks can be detected by removing the cap and squeezing the bottle.
To avoid contamination and possible eye infection, do not touch the tip of this container to any surface. Should the top of any container become contaminated, discard the container and its contents. Do not transfer saline to another container. Because UNISOL® 4 contains no strong preservatives, it will not remain sterile indefinitely after opening and, therefore, should not be used as an eyedrop.

And in the years I wore contacts it was the only solution to which I did not have an allergic reaction, even though my opthalmologist assured me that the other contacts solutions had new formulations that would not irritate my eyes. (I used Unisol with a heating system to sterilize my lenses.)

I love the solution because it is very gentle on the eyes but find the plastic bottle problematic. In order to open, you are supposed to tighten the cap so a hole is made in the plastic top. The problem is that the hole is not always perfect so the solution does not spray properly.
I use this product daily as I need it for special contacts I wear to help with my severe dry eye condition. The product is great! However, to avoid eye infections, I've been advised to throw each bottle away after it's been open for 2 days. I don't come close to using 1 bottle in 2 days, so I feel like I end up wasting a lot of the product. Would be helpful if the product was made in a smaller size.

I always keep these on-hand for travel for cleaning my contact before wear. Because it's preservative-free, it must be used within 30 days. I only wear one contact, so I always throw half of it away. For those wearing two contacts (most of you) the amount is perfect.
It is hard to find saline solution anymore. My eyes are way too sensitive for the burning sensation of the multipurpose solutions, so a good rinse in saline after a cleaning works out great for me!
I am a "daily wear" contact user. I first used Unisol when I needed a "airline approved" saline. I really love Unisol and use it all the time, even at home. It is the only saline that keeps my lenses moisturized and my eyes feeling good.

To open container, press down on cap and turn cap clockwise. A molded piercing insert inside the cap will puncture the container. Remove cap and follow directions. Clean, rinse and disinfect your lenses each time you remove them. Always wash your hands before handling lenses. Fill empty storage case with fresh UNISOL® 4. Clean and rinse one lens first (always the same lens first) and place into correct chamber of your lens case. Close according to the directions of your heat unit. Discard bottle and contents 30 days after opening. Store at room temperature. Keep tightly closed.
