Although ive never used the name brand stuff of this, I think this is just as good for moderate acne. Ive been breaking out after 3 years of working nights and getting little sleep. It does tend to irritate my skin a tiny bit, but nothing i cant handle. I also use the moistuizer with it. During winter, you might want to try a heavier moisturizer since this one is pretty light and soaks in quick. I use Yes to Tomatoes for that. Also every week and 1/2 I use I-Skin Pore Perfecting System with their vibrating brush to really get deep in. This regimen has worked wonders for me. VS Most Liked Negative Review wouldn't reccommend anymore i used to buy this product in the kit a couple years ago. it worked great and kept my face clear for awhile. i just recently bought it again because i started breaking out ...Read complete review i used to buy this product in the kit a couple years ago. it worked great and kept my face clear for awhile. i just recently bought it again because i started breaking out a lot from stress. i used it for 2 months and it didn't do a thing, it actually made my face worse. after using it my face became really oily and i broke out worse. i found out they changed the product ingredients. i won't be buying this again. i purchsed the severe acne kit 2 days ago and my face is already much better. Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: This product is the only thing that works on my daughter's skin. During heavy breakouts, she uses the whole family of AcneFree products but this is the one she uses every day, twice a day. Nothing we have found in the drugstores has worked for her. ProActive did not work for her and was too drying. She has been using AcneFree since she was 16. She is now 18 and in college and still using it. Pros Cons Best Uses Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: The product displayed was not what I received. The product states Original formula, but received the new formula Acnefree cleanser with all new ingredients. I specifically wanted the original formula due to having more natural ingredients and they sent the new one that has more chemicals and my son is allergic to. Service and delivery comments: Delivery was on time. And when phoned to let them know the product was wrong, they gave me a full refund. They still need to change the product information. Pros

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: I absolutely love this product! I bought it when I ran out of Proactiv because it was the only cleanser I could find that used Benzoyl Peroxide as its active ingredient, rather than salicylic acid, which I find to be irritating and drying. I have been using this product for a few years now and haven't found anything that I like better. I use this product as my daily facial cleanser in the shower. It is gentle and never irritates my skin. However, it is not grainy at all so I usually use St.Ives Apricot Invigorating Scrub along with it when I need to exfoliate my face. It works great for my mild adult acne. People always compliment me on my complexion and ask what I use. When I tell them I only use AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, the St.Ives Apricot Scrub, and any oil-free moisturizer, they are always surprised that I only use drugstore products. I will add that you may need to wait a while to see results. When I first started using it I felt like it was almost too gently and wasn't going to work. But after a couple weeks it started to work, so stick with it. I find that when I stop using it, my mild acne starts to show up again. I have used it in humid climates and dry climates and it works well in both. And as I mentioned before, I suggest following with an oil-free moisturizer. Pros

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: My wife and I use this 1-2x a day. It's great at washing away oils and the benzoyl peroxide likely keeps pimples at bay. You'll probably want to use a toner and/or oil-free moisturizer after using the wash because it can be drying. Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: I am 47 with very oil skin, however I do not break out. Summer is the worst time for me. I have finally found the perfect procedure to keep my oil production to a minimum. I wash my face each morning and evening and use a clarsonic brush to cleanse my face at night. I do not dry out. If i don't use this regimen, I go through at least 6 blotting film pieces just in the am! I haven't found any other cleanser that works as well as this. Pros

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: I am a recent ProActiv user. Wanted to find a like product that was better on price. I found this one. I have to say though, that I like the ProActiv better because of it's micro crystals that leave your skin feeling soft and silky. This one doesn't do it on its' own, so I use a buff puff with it for extra exfoliating. I've been using it for a couple weeks now and my acne seems to be kept at bay. Pros

Comments about University Medical AcneFree Oil Free Purifying Cleanser, 8 fl oz: Decided to give this a try since I no longer had a Proactive subscription. Was disappointed in smell and texture of product. I prefer a lite grainy feel for exfoliation and this does not have it. It still has Benzoil Peroxide, which does wonders for acne, even as an adult.
